The New England native was born in 1981 and was raised by her parents in her hometown, Hollis in New Hampshire. Further information about her siblings, as well as her childhood years, have not been found. However, there are reports that she was the captain of her high school volleyball team.
Although it is not also known where she had her early education, we are able to gather that Shiri attended McGill University located in Montreal, Canada after which she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Secondary Mathematics Education at Rivier University, a private university in Nashua, New Hampshire, USA. Her Career as a Meteorologist
Shiri Spear started off her career at Dunkin’ Donuts where she was a summertime waitress, although she spoke about initially working as a preschool teacher. While working at Dunkin Donuts, she got a job at WWLP-TV22, a Springfield and Western Massachusetts local news station where she was to begin her career as a meteorologist.
Shiri worked with the WWLP-TV22 for more than three years before deciding to pursue further knowledge in her career by working with NBC owned-and-operated TV station, WTVJ, located in Miami. At the Miami-licensed TV station, Shiri worked from 2010 – 2012 and was able to develop more skills in her career, especially as it concerns tropical forecasting cell. There, she joined a team that does an annual Hurricane special and her role in the program fetched her two prestigious Emmy nominations and a CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) accreditation from the American Meteorological Society in the year 2012. After gaining all the necessary professional skill she needs to improve her career, Shiri Spear joined the WFXT team where she became the Fox 25 Morning News meteorologist.
