A native of Orlando in Florida, United States, Traylor is the daughter of Robert and Peggy Howard. While nothing much is known about her mother, it is known that her father is the President of the Howard Fertilizer and Chemical Company. The actress possesses American nationality and is of white ethnicity.
While she was growing, Traylor Howard was enrolled into Lake Highland Preparatory School situated in Orlando, Florida. From 1996 to 1997, the actress portrayed the role of Joy Byrnes in the NBC sitcom series, Boston Common along with Anthony Clark and Tasha Smith.

She followed it up with minor roles in The Division, First Monday, The West Wing, and Bram and Alice in 2002.
Her next major role came in 2005 when she played as Natalie Teeger in the American comedy-drama, Monk. In the series, she starred alongside Ted Levine and Bitty Schram from 2005 to 2009. The iconic actress has had her fair share of romantic relationships and has been married three times in her lifetime. Her first marital stint was with an American actor named Cameron Hall. The duo tied the knot on 2nd February 1991. However, two years later, they went their separate ways in March 1993. They didn’t have any kids in their union.
Ten years later, Traylor Howard got married a second time and this time to another actor named Christian Navarro. Their marriage happened in April 2003 and these two were married for three years before getting a divorce in 2006.
