The Dolphins star was born as Franklin Delano Gore on the 14th day of May 1983 in Miami, Florida. Growing up, Frank spent his childhood in Coconut Grove, Florida. He graduated from Coral Gables High School and while he was there, Gore established himself as one of the best running backs in the school. Following his wonderful performances, Frank was named the third best defender in the nation. He completed his high school career with a total of 39 touchdowns and he equally rushed for 2,997 yards.

Soon after his graduation, Frank got an athletic scholarship from the University of Miami. He joined the Miami Hurricanes where he played under the guidance of Coach Larry Coker. In his first season in 2001, Frank earned the Freshman of the Year Award after rushing for 562 yards. He also had five touchdowns and 62 carries. He got a four-year contract extension worth $28 million in 2007 and he covered 436 receiving yards and 1,102 rushing yards that season. Frank got yet another three-year contract extension worth $25.9 million in 2011 and his ten-year stint with the 49ers came to an end at the end of the 2014 season. Frank also got four more Pro Bowl selections in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Joining the Indianapolis Colts in 2015, Frank penned a three-year contract worth $12 million with the team. He surpassed Steven Jackson to become the league’s leader in rushing yards and also finished at the 15th position in all-time rushing yards. Gore continued to improve in his game and in 2016, he won the Art Rooney Award for Outstanding Sportsmanship after a successful season. In 2017, Frank Gore made history by becoming the fifth player in the league to record over 14,000 career rushing yards. At the end of the season, the running back didn’t get a contract extension from the Colts. Becoming a free agent, Frank signed up with the Miami Dolphins in March 2018.
