Different people see Oscar-winning movie icon, Angelina Jolie as so many things like; a socially-concerned and most kind-hearted philanthropist of Hollywood’s big actors – particularly for her charitable contributions in the war-torn zones and for adopting three of her six children from economically poor countries. She is also seen by some as a promoter of women’s health for undergoing a breast examination to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer and for being outspoken about it. But, a handful of people think she is not so charming as widely believed. To these people, the star has got plenty of dark sides that are contrary to her humanitarian works. Jennifer Aniston
Brangelina is over and people like Jennifer Aniston probably are so pleased. The pretty star was married to Pitt when he was filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) with Jolie – the movie that gave rise to Brangelina after they grew so connected. Of course, the affair took place behind her back, ending her five years of marriage to Brad. During the breakup, a feud broke out between the two and that lasted longer than Brad Pitt’s marriage to Aniston and Jolie combined.
The rivalry got so heated up that marketers made a profit from creating Team Aniston vs Team Jolie T-shirt. Jeniffer who admitted to feeling moments of anger, of distress, of embarrassment at that time-tagged Jolie ‘uncool’ for talking about how she fell in love with her husband while they were making a film. Though the star is now married to Justin Theroux and has had a successful movie career, she won’t deny loving how karma got back at the couple.
Chelsea Handler
Chelsea didn’t hold back spiteful words after the big news that Brangelina was ending. The talk show host called Jolie “Demon during Watch What Happens Live (via Us Weekly). And it didn’t end there. She also called Jolie a fu***king lunatic in a Chelsea Show segment which she tweeted. The star, of course, doesn’t have any regret about that. The vocal comedienne, who is good friends with Brad’s ex Jennifer Aniston, made the comment with utmost seriousness despite being known for her great sense of humor.
She also suggested that it’s likely Jolie pushed her husband to booze and pot as an escape. Handler insisted her disparagement was not about Jolie’s alleged crimes against Aniston, saying;
“It has nothing to do with Jennifer. As a woman, I know when you see somebody walking across the room that’s a bad girl. I just don’t like Angelina Jolie. Don’t think she’s a girl’s girl. I like girl’s girls!”
Handler called Jolie a “homewrecker” and other malicious names. Adding that the Maleficent (2014) star doesn’t strike her as someone she would have a close friendship with.
Scott Rudin
Scott Rudin is a film producer and a theatrical producer. Though not many know him by name but we know some of his works including Clueless (1995), The First Wives Club (1996), Team America: World Police (2004), No Country for Old Men (2007), and The Social Network (2010). In 2014 there was massive Sony email leak after a computer breach by hackers and his strong criticisms of Jolie, that the actress was meant not to see, were made available online.
In the email, Rudin expressed his annoyance that the actress was presumably trying to to get David Fincher to direct her Cleopatra film when Rudin wanted Fincher to pay particular attention to Steve Jobs (2015) biopic.
“I’m not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie,” Rudin told then-Sony president Amy Pascal (via the New York Daily News).
Rudin added that he had no desire to be making a movie with her, or anybody, that she controls.
Billy Bob Thornton
Jolie and actor Billy BobThornton’s relationship and marriage saw strange public displays of love. They wore lockets with one another’s blood around their necks, and Jolie got “Billy Bob” drawn on her arm. That’s how much cool they were around each other. However, after they separated, the experience that lasted between 1995 and 2003, doesn’t seem to excite the six-times-married womanizer anymore.
Billy doesn’t seem to love the memories and hate talking about it. Good enough, Angelina wrote the foreword in his book, and described him as a man with an unmatchable wit but similar to a ‘mad mathematician’. They remain friends but from some respectable distance away.
Laura Dern
Laura hasn’t been open about what she thinks about Angelina Jolie. But just like Pitt did with Jeniffer, she lost her then man, Thornton to Jolie on returning from work on a film. The Wild at Heart (1990) actress in an interview, revealed she left home to work on a movie, and while she was away, her man got married, and she never heard from him again. Apparently, Angelina holds these men better than their wives that they can easily dump them for her.
Amal Clooney
Angelina’s ex-husband, Pitt has a good relationship with actor George Clooney. But Clooney’s wife Amal doesn’t seem to like Angelina that much. There are speculations that Jolie didn’t attend Clooney’s wedding because she didn’t think the bride’s political views are good enough.
Jon Voight
Jon abandoned his family when Jolie was less than a year old. He later reconnected with them when she was three. Ever since Angelina Jolie’s relationship with her father Jon Voight has been stormy even though they have acted together on several occassions. She at one time, due to their tumultuous relationship, stopped using their surname. She cited her father’s infidelity towards her mother as what got her devastated. Jon Voight, on the contrary, claimed that Jolie had a serious mental problem on national television.
After that incident, both Jolie’s mother and brother joined Jolie to distance themselves from Voight. They didn’t talk for about a decade and he couldn’t rebuild the father-daughter bond until Jolie’s mother was battling ovarian cancer. Around 2010, after her mother’s death, Jolie and her father patched up their relationship. Despite smoothening things over, Jolie has always had moments and keeps him away from her personal life.
The Oscar-winning actress had a preventative double mastectomy in May 2013 but didn’t tell him about it. In addition, Jon missed Jolie’s 2014 wedding to Brad Pitt. Nobody knows exactly why but Voight has obviously joined the ranks of Jolie admirers.
“My love and admiration for my daughter can’t be explained in words,” he told the New York Daily News in 2013.
Burt Reynolds
Despite being one of Angelina’s many admirers and wishes to work with her someday, Burt doesn’t seem to like Jolie. Especially for her treatment towards her father. Burt who is Jon’s acting pal painted a darker picture of the woman deemed to be the most kind-hearted of Hollywood’s big stars. To Burt, Angelina’s treatment to her father is nothing to write home about. He described her as a wild kid who hurts her father tremendously.
