Her father Louis Francois “Boet” Prinsloo is a church minister while her mother Magada runs a bread and breakfast lodging business. The family speaks Afrikaans as their native language but she received her education in English from Grootfontein Secondary School.

Behati Prinsloo Met Adam Levin Through a Mutual Friend
From what we gathered, the Maroon 5 frontman was looking for someone who could pull off some action for a music video and the model was recommended for him by the mutual friend.
As Behati was described as a tomboy who would be up for some action, Adam emailed her and it marked the beginning of a friendship that morphed into a romance.
Even though Behati never got to play the role, she continued exchanging emails with Adam and according to her, they eventually fell in love over email. The model said it was love at first sight when they met a month later in LA. They had dinner, talked for hours, and their relationship was birthed.
But They Almost Didn’t Get Married
Prinsloo began dating the voice coach and Maroon 5 frontman in 2012. The duo suffered a slight break in 2013 but rekindled their love and got back together in the same year. Based on what the model disclosed, they broke up for two months after they became lovers. It was tough for them to say apart so they got back together.
Months later, Levin proposed to the top model and by early 2014 they started planning their wedding. The same year, the couple tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; in front of many celebrity guests. Two years into their marriage, they welcomed their first bundle of joy, a daughter named Dusty Rose Levin. Currently, they are adoring parents to two lovely girls as Dusty has a sister named Gio Grace.
