Domonique Foxworth is a former American cornerback who played in the National Football League. He had a prolific college career and spent his time at the University of Maryland as part of the school’s squad. His professional career took off in 2005 after he was picked by the Denver Broncos during the NFL draft. The gifted cornerback has gone on to play for various other clubs in the league including the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons. His distinguished career has furnished him with a lot of lucrative opportunities even beyond the pitch. He has served as the President of the NFL Players Association.

Dominique Foxworth was born on March 27, 1983, in Oxford, England. He is of African descent and was originally born in Britain, his father’s work led to the whole family relocation to Maryland, America. He has one sibling, a brother. He attended Western Tech and was a member of his school’s football team. The incredible feats he achieved while there led to him being named to the All-Metro, All-Baltimore County, and the first team at Baltimore Sun.

After graduating from high school, Domonique enrolled in the University of Maryland from where he joined Terrapins in 2001. While there, he had the distinct honor of winning the All-Atlantic Coast Conference championship three times. In 2005, his NFL career took off after he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the NFL draft as the 97th overall pick. Three years later, he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons, he then joined Baltimore Ravens in 2009 on a four-year deal worth $28 million.

During the start of the 2010 season, he suffered an ACL injury which kept him out for the rest of the season. After his injuries persisted, Domonique Foxworth was moved to the reserve list by the Ravens with only two games to his name that season. He then decided to round off his career by retiring in May 2012. Prior to his retirement, Domonique took on other job offers alongside his cornerback responsibilities with the NFL. He held the position of player representative of the NFL Players Association in 2007. He was appointed the vice president of the Executive Committee of the NFLPA in 2008, becoming the youngest player to ever hold the position. A few years down the road, he became the president of the NFLPA and held the job for two years until 2014 when he was replaced by Eric Winston.

Furthermore, Dominique has been affiliated with the National Basketball Players Association where he has presided as the Chief Operating Officer, starting in October 2014. The former quarterback has also had extensive experience working with the community. He has been involved in a lot of community and volunteer work. He has helped to raise money for the Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center and Baltimore BORN Inc, which is focused on providing resources and opportunities for young boys from low-income households.

The athlete, writer, and sports personality is a happy husband and father. He married his brilliant wife Ashley Manning in 2010, in a private ceremony which was held at the campus chapel at the University of Maryland and was attended by close relatives and friends.

His wife is a multiple degree holder including a law degree from Harvard Law School. Domonique Foxworth and Ashley have welcomed two daughters and one son into their family and are happily raising them together in their beautiful home.
