The writerl was born on the 9th of October, 1973 in Wimbledon, London to parents whose identities are yet to be disclosed. Another detail that is unknown is their profession but we know it required international travel as Simon lived in Johannesburg and Hong Kong before he and his family settled in America.
He was born into a Jewish family and he attended Northern Valley Regional High School, graduating in 1991 after which he enrolled and began his higher education at City University in London, where he studied law and then Brandeis University where he studied cultural anthropology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University.
Following the completion of his studies, Simon Sinek joined Euro RSCG and Ogilvy & Mather, choosing to start a career in advertising despite studying law and cultural anthropology. Eventually, after some time working at the advertising agencies, feeling confident in his knowledge and skill, Simon established his own business, Sinek Partners.
A decision to host a talk at a TED Talk launched Simon Sinek’s name in the world of business. The talk, which was titled How Great Leaders Inspire Action remains the third most popular TED Talk of all time. The talk went on to spark the writing and publishing of his first book, Start With Why. The book was published in October 2009 and quickly became a New York Times bestseller.
Since he published his first book, Simon Sinek has not only become a leader in organizational consulting, but he has published at least four more books, all of which have been New York Times Bestsellers.
