Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots
The title for the team with the most Super Bowl rings is shared between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots. Both of them have won the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy six times, respectively. Just like no one would forget the first time they bought a car or kissed a girl, fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers would never forget the first time they won the Super Bowl in 1974 when their team emerged victorious in a highly contested game against the Minnesota Vikings.
They recorded three more victories in the ’70s, before going on a long period winning the Super Bowl, returning to claim the Lombardi trophy just before the end of the first decade in the new millennium in 2008 and then ultimately setting the record in the 2008 season when they defeated the Arizona Cardinals.

In fact, while the Steelers went on a rout in their first decade of winning the Super Bowl, the Patriots had to wait almost two decades before they recorded their first win, in a game against the St. Louis Rams in 2002.
However, when the Boston team finally laid its hands on the trophy, just like the Steelers in the ’70s, it went on a similar rout and won it two more times before the end of the 2000s in 2003 and 2004. Similarly, the Patriots went on another long period without winning the trophy before they claimed it for the fourth, fifth and sixth time, matching the Steelers record for the most Super Bowl rings in a game against the Los Angeles Rams in 2018.
During their road to winning six Super Bowl rings, The New England Patriots recorded an additional three losses against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, the New York Giants in 2007 and 2011. Interestingly, the team has never played the Dallas Cowboys in a Super Bowl final, a matchup that if it does happen, will be a blockbuster that sets records.

The NFL Player with the Most Wins
When it comes to NFL Players with the most rings, the outright record belongs to the New England Patriots superstar quarterback, Tom Brady, who has six Super Bowl wins to his name. Tom Brady’s Super Bowl wins came all from his time with the New England Patriots, whom he has been playing for since he was drafted by the team in the 2000 NFL Draft.
Except for his first Super Bowl ring, which he won as a backup to Drew Bledsoe, Brady has won every other Super Bowl victory as a starting quarterback for his team, winning the Super Bowl MVP award four times. Behind him is Charles Haley, a linebacker who has five Super Bowl wins to his name. He won two of his Super Bowl victories playing for the San Francisco 49ers and the other three playing as a defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys.
However, while Tom Brady is the NFL Player with the most wins, the individual with the most Super Bowl wins to their name is Bill Belichick, who has eight rings to his name. He won two of his rings as a defensive coordinator of the New York Giants and won his other six as the head coach of the New England Patriots.
