Usher Biography, Age, How It All Began
Usher Terry Raymond IV was born in Dallas Texas on 14 October 1978. He grew up with his mom in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Usher began singing at a very early age, his mom noticed his vocal ability and decided to expose him to an environment that would offer more opportunities for a budding musician, so she moved the family to Atlanta Georgia.
Usher became a member of a local quintet, NuBeginnings but later left to compete in the TV show “Star Search” where he was spotted by an A&R from LaFace Records. After an auditioning, Usher won a recording contract with the label. He released his self-titled debut studio album in 1994 at the age of 16. Some songs from the album were executive-produced by Sean Combs aka Diddy. His big break came with the release of his second album “My Way” (1997), the album produced Hot 100 number-one single “Nice & Slow”. Another single from the album “You Make Me Wanna” won Usher his first ever Grammy Award.
The album was certified platinum 6 times by the RIAA. The third album “8701” produced chart-topping singles like “You Remind Me”, “U got it bad” and “U don’t have to call” which won him his second Grammy.

Is Usher Married, Who is The Wife?
Usher is definitely a married man. Not only is he married, he has kids too. The R&B singer was first married to his first wife Tameka Foster, an American wardrobe stylist. Usher proposed to Tameka in January 2007 and got engaged to her the following month. They, however, got married on August the same year, in a private ceremony. Tameka had two sons for Usher. Their first son Usher Raymond V was born in November 2007 while the second Naviyd Ely Raymond was born in December 2008.
Usher filed for a divorce from his first wife Tameka in June 2009 citing irreconcilable differences. Though the Fosters frowned at his claims, the divorce was finalized on November 4 the same year and on August 24, 2012, he was awarded primary custody of their two sons, while they both share the legal custody.
Having been free from his first marriage, Usher engaged his girlfriend and music career manager Grace Miguel whom he had been secretly dating since 2009.
The two had earlier planned to have an elaborate wedding in Atlanta but called it off and chose to get wedded while on vacation in Cuba in 2015.
