It’s been quiet from Mayweather for a while now in terms of brand new supercar purchase and it got us thinking that perhaps the former boxer is satisfied with his current collection of cars, but no way, it turns out that Money has been busy all these while searching for a supercar worthy enough to join his blooming fleet. And Yay! he has found one- The 2017 Bugatti Chiron which is yet to be unveiled- perhaps one of the reasons Money took so long was because he didn’t find any currently available car fit for his collections.

Though it might sound a little unthinkable to completely pay for a car you haven’t yet laid eyes upon, it is pertinent to note that Mayweather isn’t a stranger to the Bugatti brand, his last supercar purchase was a $3.5 million Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and there are three more to add to that.

Mayweather might be planning to drive up the value of his car collections to $30 million but he obviously doesn’t want any boring old model or one that wouldn’t make a bold statement to be part of that feat. So to make room for newer versions including the imminent arrival of the Chiron, he sold one of the old versions of his Bugatti. According to TMZ, the old Bugatti was spotted outside a luxury hotel in Scottsdale Arizona where it was being loaded unto a truck to be shipped to its new owner.

The 2017 Bugatti Chiron is expected to be anything but average. It features an 8.0 liter W-16 quad-turbocharged engine, 4 turbos to create 1500 horsepower and an estimated top speed of 288 miles per hour. Little wonder why more than 100 people have already pre-ordered for this ride which comes with a minimum deposit $200k. The car is scheduled to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor show in March. The Chiron will undoubtedly be a worthy addition to Mayweather’s prestigious car collections which includes a $4.8 million incredibly rare Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita Hypercar.
