Tyler who was then serving as the coach for the women’s team was instrumental in her learning of the core aspects of the game. He would spend two hours extra time every day teaching her all she needed to know as a point guard.
When Pumroy transferred to Louisiana Tech, she coincidentally met Tyler Summitt who was also transferred to the team as a coach and there, they continued being best of friends.
