Yung Berg Bio, Parents and Facts

Yung Berg was born Christian Ward on September 9, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois. He began his music career as a teenager in the early 2000s. In 2001, at the age of 15, he was signed to DMX‘s record label, Bloodline Records. At the time Yung Berg used the moniker Iceberg, he was featured on the song “Dog 4 Life” which was part of The Exit Wounds soundtrack.

However, Berg’s parents thought it was too early to allow their son dive straight into music so they shipped him off to a military boarding school. The school changed nothing about Berg who still had his eyes fixed on music after graduating in 2003. To facilitate his launch into the bigger music scene, Yung Berg moved to Los Angeles the same year. Two years later, Berg landed a job as a recording assistant as well as a hypeman to Chicago rapper, Shawnna who was a member of hip-hop group – Disturbing tha Peace.

Reality TV and Other Endeavors

It wasn’t long before Young Berg established himself as a successful rapper. His very first single “Sexy Lady” released in 2005, the same year he began working for Shawnna was an instant hit and a favourite among Los Angeles residents. It peaked at #18 on the US Billboard 100. The rapid success of the single attracted the attention of top record labels including Epic Records which Yung Berg finally chose. Yung Berg was also noticed by his fellow celebrities including Kat DeLuna who picked him to appear in the music video for her debut single “Whine Up”.

After releasing a mixtape titled “Almost Famous: The Sexy Lady EP”, Yung Berg then released another single “Sexy Can I” featuring Ray J which ushered in his debut studio album “Look What You Made Me” released in 2008. The album featured top acts like Trey Songz, Twista, Eve and Lloyd and peaked at #20 on the US Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top Rap Albums chart. Yung Berg Girlfriend, Legal Issues and Gay Rumours

Yung Berg and Masika Tucker’s relationship came to an end in 2014 after the rapper allegedly beat her up in his hotel room in New York. Tucker pressed charges and Yung Berg was offered a plea deal. VH1 was disappointed by the rapper’s actions and abruptly fired him from the show.

While the domestic violence case was still in court, Yung Berg was sued by his baby mama Brandy Flint for failure to pay child support worth $100,000. It is unclear if the rapper is broke or just doesn’t want to pay the money.

Yung Berg has been in a few publicized feuds with his fellow rappers and celebrities including Bow Wow, Brisco- Florida’s close friend and singer, Teairra Marí. In what seems like a feud between Berg and Cash Jones, the latter took to his IG page to accuse Yung of being a homosexual.

The rapper contradicted the allegation saying, “No, I am not gay. I’ve never thought about being gay.” Yung Berg is not yet married but, he has reportedly, dated several celebrities like Milani Ross, Joie Chavis, Casha Darjean and Arica Kane.
