Between 1990 and 2001 when the show was on the air, she starred in various shows like Waynehead, where she appeared in seven episodes and played Mom. She also appeared in the show, In the House, playing one of the show’s main characters, Tonia Harris between 1995 and 1998. Other projects Kim sunk her teeth into are the movies A Low Down Dirty Shame, Talking About Sex, Critics and Other Freak, and a few more others.

Since the show ended, Kim Wayans has forged a career primarily in Television. A few years after the show ended, she appeared in the movies – Juwanna Mann, What News?, Thugaboo: A Miracle on D-Roc’s Street. She then began to appear in TV shows like Criminal Minds, Reckless, where she played the character Vi Briggs across 13 episodes. Biography

Kim Wayans was born on the 16th of October, 1961 in New York City as one of the ten children that make up The Wayans Family. She is the fourth child born to parents Howell Stouten Wayans and Elvira Alethia, a middle-class family that resided in Harlem, New York City. She grew up in a family of Jehovah Witnesses and despite being born into a large family, she studied all the way to college at Wesleyan University.

Her career as an actress began in 1987 when she appeared as an extra in the movie, Hollywood Shuffle. In the same year, she also began her career in television as Allison on the show, A Different World. Before she joined other members of the Wayans Family in In Living Color, she made a few other appearances in China Beach, and the movie, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka.

Since making her debut and joining her family in show business, Kim Wayans has built an extensive filmography with multiple roles as a writer, producer, and actress. As an actress, she has appeared in over 30 movies and TV shows.

Personal Life

Although Kim Wayans is notably a member of a show business family that includes popular names like Shawn Wayans, Damon Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans, she has gone on to start a family of her own. She has been married to Kevin Knotts for an unknown number of years, and while they do not have any known children of their own, they have worked together to produce a series of children books like Lost and Fund, Playing Games, The Secret’s Out and a few others.

Her husband, Kevin, apart from being a writer, has also appeared in a couple of productions, such as Gangland and My Wife and Kids.
