Until her marriage to John Mellencamp, the iconic music legend who has produced albums like The Lonesome Jubilee and Scarecrow, Victoria Granucci was an unknown personality in the entertainment world, even though she worked in the industry before her marriage.
Victoria was born on the 26th of November, 1958. So far, that is the extent of information regarding the background of Victoria. Her parents’ and place of birth still remain unknown.
Victoria may have attended high school but we know she did not attend college. The former wife of the iconic singer worked as an extra on the set of films and music videos after her high school graduation. Some of the films and TV shows she worked on at the time as an extra included Happy Days, Fantasy Island, Charlie’s Angels, CHiPs, Love Boat, Grease and a couple more.
Her most notable appearance onscreen was her appearance alongside her husband, John Mellencamp in the famous music video of the song – Jack and Diane. The video brought Victoria a fair amount of fame across America and internationally.

Before John Mellencamp met Victoria Granucci, the music legend was married to Priscilla Esterline. Typical of entertainment personalities, however, particularly in rock and roll, John Mellencamp went on a blind date with Victoria while he was still married to his wife. Victoria Granucci was 23 years old when she met John Mellencamp, who was 30 years old at the time. John had first seen a picture of Victoria at a friend’s house, convincing the friend to invite Victoria out on a blind date with him. At the time, Victoria worked as an extra behind the scenes of music videos, including ones that involved John.
During their first meeting, Victoria and John hit it off and began a relationship that culminated in a marriage in 1981 – in the same year John divorced his first wife, Priscilla.
Victoria Granucci and John Mellencamp had their first child also in 1981. The child was named Teddi Jo Mellencamp, who was born on the 1st of July, 1981. Today, Teddi Jo is an actress who has appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She is now married and has two children with her husband Edwin Arroyave. Her kids are – Cruz Arroyave and Slate Arroyave.
Victoria gave birth to their second child, Justice Mellencamp, another daughter in 1985. She became a stay at home mom and focused on raising their two children while John Mellencamp went on tours around the country.
