Steven Strait was born on the 23rd of March, 1986, and was raised in Greenwich Village, also popularly known as “the Village”, in New York City, New York. Strait is the second child born to Jean and Richard Dyer Strait. The young actor attended a Community school before enrolling at Xavier High School for his education but he later dropped out of high school to attend the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
Strait was initially interested in sports, perhaps because his mother is a practitioner of karate. But when he turned 11 years, he was urged by his parents to take up acting classes which he later did. Steven Strait is half English and half Italian and he holds an American nationality.
