Shantel Vansanten’s Biography
The American model and actress was born on July 25, 1985, in Luverne, Minnesota but she grew up in Spring, Texas which, of course, is where she began her education and career. Shantel is of Dutch and one-quarter Norwegian descent. She first attended an all-girls school in Houston named Incarnate Word Academy before enrolling at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas for her degree certificate. Not much is known about her family but there are reports that she has two younger siblings- a brother and a sister. Their names, as well as that of her parents’ names, are not known.
As it is with a good number of star actresses, Shantel Vansanten started off as a model after she was discovered and featured in the Teen Vogue – Vogue magazine’s sister publication targetting teenagers. At that time, she was just fifteen years of age. It was in this period that she got a chance to appear as Kaori in Steel Angel Kurumi, an English adaptation of the 1999 Japanese manga and anime series.
In 2005, Shantel took part in NBC’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search but could not make it through as was among the four contestants who were eliminated in the series’ first episode. Despite not reaching the final episode of the show, her participation got her another chance to appear on screen. Two years after, she joined the film industry after signing to appear in the film adaption of the novel t.A.T.u. Come Back. Shantel Vansanten began to focus on her acting career proper in 2009 with a role as Lori Milligan in a 3D horror film titled The Final Destination. In the same year, she appeared in two significant television series CSI: NY and One Tree Hill. While she appeared as Tara Habis in a single episode of the former, the latter had her taking the main role as Quinn James in its 55 episodes. Other TV shows she appeared in include Beauty & the Beast, The Glades, The Night Shift, The Messengers, Rush Hour and many more. She dated the former in 2008 and the latter between June 2009 and May 2010.
In 2015, she was involved in a love affair with actor Jon Fletcher whom she reportedly met while filming the TV series, The Messengers. To further give a silent proof to the public assumption, the two took turns in sharing pictures of themselves on their various social media platforms until in 2017 when fans realized the actress has taken down all her pictures with the actor. Although Shantel and Fletcher refused to open up on what was going on between them, there is a public assumption that their relationship might have ended.
In 2018, she was spotted with her new boyfriend, Victor Webster. She as spotted with the Canadian actor in late 2017 and in June 2018, when the couple went on vacation in Mexico.
