Sean Price Biography – Early Life and Career

Born on March 17, 1972, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Sean Price often referred to as ‘Ruck’ was a rapper who left his mark in the music industry as a member of popular hip-hop groups like Boot Camp Clik and Random Axe, which he formed together with Guilty Simpson and producer Black Milk.

Price rose to prominence in the industry as half of the duo Heltah Skeltah wherein he performed under the name Ruckus or Ruck alongside his partner Rock. A Muslim by religion, Sean Price converted himself to the faith in 2009.

Earlier in 1996, Price emerged as one half of the critically acclaimed Brooklyn duo. The same year, the pair released their debut album Nocturnal under Duck Down Records. After their debut sailed off smoothly, Heltah Skeltah went on to drop two more albums including 1998’s Magnum Force and 2008’s D.I.R.T.

Following his successful launch into the world of hip-hop in the 1990s, Price judiciously used the 2000s to establish himself as a strong force in the underground hip-hop community, and in 2005, the rapper released his first solo album Monkey Barz, to much critical acclaim. He followed it up in 2007 with Jesus Price Supastar and later in 2012, he dropped another one – Mic Tyson.

He also worked on a collaborative album with Ill Bill to produce The Pill which was a combination of both of their names.

Sean Price Asset Value

Sean Price’s financial earnings didn’t stop growing even after his demise. Notably, Sean Price’s net worth was accumulated through several other sources apart from hip-hop. The rapper was featured in video game NBA 2k11 as a playable character in street mode when he lived in Brownsville. In addition, he also appeared as the judge of the show called Ultimate MC TV Show alongside Royce da 5’9″, Organik, Planet Asia, and Pharoahe Monch in 2011. Price also appeared in several television interviews while he has made several stage performances alongside Book Camp Clik and Dru Ha.
