British singer Seal and Heidi Klum, a supermodel, met for the first time in 2003 in the lobby of a hotel in New York City and their love story began. At that time, Heidi was pregnant with her daughter Leni, who she had for Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, her last boyfriend before Seal.

By December of the following year, just two days to Christmas, Seal popped the question inside a quinzhee he built in Whistler, British Columbia and Klum said yes. They eventually got married on the 10th of May 2005 on a Mexican beach resort with about 40 guests in attendance. The couple went on to expand their family, welcoming three biological children: Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel born on September 12, 2005, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel who came on November 22, 2006, and Lou Sulola Samuel who joined the family on October 9, 2009.

Also in 2009, precisely on the 21st of November, the Project Runway star had a legal change of name, adopting her husband’s surname, “Samuel”. The following month, Seal officially adopted and gave his last name to Heidi’s daughter, Leni, who was birthed on May 4, 2004. Having assumed the role of her father, he dedicated his next album titled Best: 1991-2004 to her.

What Happened To Seal and Heidi Klum?

All through the years that they were married, Seal and Heidi Klum renewed their marital vows on their wedding anniversary in the presence of their loved ones. They appeared to have it all together as they both appeared in the music video of Seal’s romantic and sexually intense song titled Secret in September 2010 and also went on a family vacation in Ibiza in August 2011.

On December 26, 2011, Heidi posted a photo of her and her husband on a snowy mountaintop in Aspen where they spent the holiday but sadly, this turned out to be the last time they were seen together. On January 15, 2012, she attended the Golden Globe award alone, sparking rumors of a possible marital crisis. A week later, they jointly announced that their almost seven-year-long union had hit the rock. Heidi filed for divorce on April 6, 2012, requesting to have her name reverted back to her maiden name. On the 14th of October 2014, the two were officially no longer an item.

While Seal and Heidi Klum maintained that their decision to split was based on mutual agreement, celebrity website TMZ reported that in addition to Seal’s hard-partying lifestyle, Heidi could not stomach his volcanic temper any longer as she was worried about how bad it was affecting their children.

How Often Do Seal and Heidi Klum Talk?

Though divorced, Seal and Heidi Klum are still friends, as they both said that their split was amicable. Although there is no information to prove how often they talk, the fact that there is no bad blood between them coupled with the fact that they share four children is enough to make them talk often.

Will They Get Back Together?

As it stands now, there are no indications that Seal and Heidi Klum would ever find their way back to each other because, from the look of things, Heidi has moved on a long time ago. From the time they parted ways in 2012, she has been publicly involved with three different men, including Martin Kirsten, her bodyguard who she dated from 2012 to 2014 and art curator Vito Schnabel. She began a relationship with Vito in 2014 and they parted ways in 2017.

Moving on, she started dating Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz and went public with the relationship in May 2018. A day to Christmas of the same year, Heidi announced her engagement to Kaulitz and in February 2019, they married privately. This was followed by a wedding ceremony which took place in Italy in August, on the yacht Christina O.

Seal, on the other hand, has not found it easy moving on. He was linked with his fellow The Voice Australia coach, Delta Goodrem, in 2017 and in March 2018, he was seen with a beautiful blonde at Los Angeles International Airport.

In November of the previous year, he revealed that he was simply living in the moment and was not really looking for a relationship. In an interview with FAULT in the same year, he admitted finding it hard to maintain relationships, adding that his romantic life was a struggle.
