How Tall Is Quavo, What Is His Real Name and Who Is His Girlfriend?

The modern style and wave of hip hop may not be the cup of tea of every fan of the genre, but there is no denying the ubiquitous nature of the genre’s newest crop of stars whose music transverse race and country. Among this crop of stars is Migos, a hip hop and trap music group leading the wave of modern hip hop. One of the members of Migos is Quavo, a rapper, and a music producer.

Quavo is one of the more popular members of the group as he is known to make music with other acts, several of which have become hit songs topping various charts. We explore the life and career of Quavo here and you can read all about him below.

What is Quavo’s real name?

When Migos came onto the scene and the members’ names were announced to fans and music media, one of the earliest curiosities about the group was the full name of its members. Quavo, who is probably the most popular member of the group, was revealed to have the full name, Quavious Keyate Marshall.

He was born on the 2nd of April 1991 and his rapid rise to fame has been down to his collaboration with Takeoff and Offset, who also happen to be his family members. Takeoff is his nephew while Offset is a cousin. He was born in Athens, Georgia to Edna Marshall and for a long time, was raised only by his mother following the death of his father when he was four years old.

He was raised in Gwinnett County alongside other members of the group. While there, he attended Berkmar High School where he looked more like he was destined for a career in sports. He played football as a student and showed sparks of excellence as a player for the school. Unfortunately, a combination of his physical status and domestic issues led to him dropping out of the school.

Often referred to as Huncho or Yate by admirers and friends, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff formed Migos in 2008. Like a lot of music groups, the group started with another name, Polo Club. However, before the group released a line of music under the name, they changed the name to Migos.

Despite releasing their first project in 2011, Quavo and his group never achieved mainstream popularity or attention until 2013 when their single Versace was remixed by popular rapper Drake. The remix to their song by the ultra-popular singer brought some global attention to the music group, giving them a shot in the arm in the latter years of the journey they began in 2008.

With Migos now one of the country’s more popular acts, Quavo began to draw interest from several other rappers and singers who sought to have his iconic style of music on their tracks. Over time, he has been featured in songs like Congratulations, Portland, I’m the One and Pick Up the Phone.

Following his own desire to explore a solo career, Quavo released his first solo album, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho in 2017 and it debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was released in collaboration with fellow hip hop act, Travis Scott. His first non-collaborative solo album was released in 2018. The album was titled Quavo Huncho.

Details About His Girlfriend Saweetie

When a flashy new hip hop artist comes on to the scene, it is normal and expected to have their relationship history and interests become a subject of curiosity for fans. It is a tradition that has become a very part of the hip-hop culture itself.

Well, for Quavo, unlike his Migos co-member, Offset, the story is not as cut and dry. He has been in rumored flings and short relationships with personalities like Nicki Minaj, Lira Galore, Iggy Azalea, and Karrueche Tran. However, as for a defined relationship, there seems to be a general consensus that Quavo is dating Saweetie, a fellow rapper.

Saweetie has released a couple of projects which include Missed Calls, High Maintenance, and a couple of others. Her real name is Diamonte Harper and she attended the University of Southern California.

How Tall is Quavo?

We mentioned earlier how Quavo’s physical status contributed to his inability to pursue a football career. He has a height of 5 feet 10 inches which came handy to him when he stormed to the MVP award in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in 2018 after scoring 19 points.
