The NFL star was born as Philip Michael Rivers on the 8th day of December 1981 in Decatur, Alabama in the United States. Along with his brother Stephen and sister Anna River, Philip was raised by American parents Steve and his wife Joan Rivers. His father was a former football player and a high school football coach while his mother is a teacher. He spent his early years in Decatur before his family moved to Athens. While there, the quarterback enrolled at Athens High School where he played football with the school team.
After he joined Athens high school football team, Philip quickly made his mark and became the best passer in the state of Alabama.
