The Nikita star was born on the 18th of November in 1970, in a hospital in Sydney, New South Wales. Her parents are named Karlene White Wilson and Darcy Wilson. Peta’s father worked in the Australian Army as a Warrant Officer, while her mother was in the catering profession. She has one sibling, a brother named Rob.
Most of her growing years were spent living in Papua New Guinea because her father was assigned to work there. Things took an unfortunate turn in their family life when her father and mother left each other in 1982.
