When he transferred to Louisiana Tech, after graduating from High School, Millsap performed excellently with 18.6 average points, 2.0 blocks, and 12.7 rebounds in 92 games. These earned him national recognition as the first and only player in the history of the NCAA basketball to lead in rebounding for three consecutive years.

Filled with great basketball potentials, Millsap was quick to join the professional team and was selected by the Salt Lake City-based Utah Jazz, in the 47th overall pick of the 2006 NBA draft. Millsap’s first professional season was quite encouraging as he racked all rookies with six double-doubles and season highs of 20 points, 4 blocks, and 17 rebounds.

After playing with the Utah Jazz for seven years, Paul Millsap joined the Atlanta Hawks in 2013 and played with the professional team for four years, recording his first career triple-double with a total of 19 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds in an overtime win over the Toronto Raptors. After earning a fourth straight All-Star nod, he was on January 26, 2017, named an Eastern Conference All-Star reserve for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. He ended his career at the Atlanta Hawks with a season-high 37 points, that gave the Hawks a 142–139 win over the New York Knicks.

When he left the Hawks for Denver Nuggets in July 2017, he was welcomed with a three-year, $90 million contracts which he happily signed with the new team. He ended his debut season with his new team with 19 points in a 106–96 loss to Utah Jazz, his former team. Paul Millsap is still making his good marks with the Nuggets. Possibly, he would perform better than during his time with the Jazz.
