Paige has a sister identified as Lexie Spiranac with whom she grew up together with their parents in Monument, a town in Colorado.
The interesting thing about Paige is that she was born into an athletic family. According to reports, her father, Dan used to be a member of the 1976 Pittsburgh Panthers national championship college football team and he did quite some exploits at the time. On the other hand, her mother Annette used to be a professional ballerina. Even her sister, Lexie was also involved in sports; she received a scholarship at Stanford University where she competed as a member of the school’s track team. It is no wonder therefore that Paige took to sports. She obviously received inspiration from her parents.
As a child, Paige was deeply interested in gymnastics and practised quite often from a young age. She had always hoped to compete in the Olympics and win medals. She was quite brilliant and eventually won an invitation to the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at Karolyi Ranch. However, when she turned 12 years old, she suffered a broken kneecap and this dashed her gymnastics dream. thereafter, she turned to golf.
In a bid to become one of the best golfers, Paige made sure she trained hard and often split time between Scottsdale in Arizona and Monument in Colorado where she was being home-schooled because she wanted to find enough time to train hard.
The Highest Achievements Of Her Career
Paige Spiranac did very well in her early days as a golf player. In fact, it is on record that she won five tournaments in about seven attempts on Colorado’s junior golf circuit. These wins included the 2010 CWGA Junior Stroke Play. She went on to rank as the top-20 junior player in the world and also won the West Region Player of the Year two times. Her exceptional performances on the golf course also made her a top-5 college recruit. She eventually won a golf scholarship from the University of Arizona.
Paige arrived in Arizona University in the 2012-2013 season and was only able to compete in just about three tournaments for the school’s golf team nicknamed the Wildcats. She ended up with the best score of 73 that year. She reached this score twice during the Windy City Intercollegiate. Paige did not complete her college education at Arizona, she soon transferred to San Diego University for her sophomore year.
The talented golfer found more success when she arrived at the San Diego University for the 2013-2014 season. Her performances earned her a place in the First-Team All-Mountain West honors. She was also able to finish 5th at the Cal Classic tournament. She emerged 19th at the NCAA Central Regional Championships and came 6th at the Mountain West Championship. Paige Spiranac eventually finished the year by winning the Mountain West Conference Championship with the school golf team. It was the first time the school would win the tournament.
In 2015, Paige turned pro when she was invited to play in the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic after her social media pages suddenly began to blow up because of an article which asked people to check her out online. In fact, she grew from 10,000 followers to 100,000 followers in just 2 days. Even though she missed the cut for the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic, she ended up getting a lot of endorsement deals.
