Nikki Bella (born as Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace) and Brie (born as Brianna Monique Garcia-Colace) first came into this world on the 21st day of November 1983. Although Nikki was the first to be born, Brie came sixteen minutes later. They are both San Diego, California natives and were raised by their parents – Jon Garcia and Kathy Colace.
Through their parents, the Bella twins hold American nationality and belong to the mixed ethnicity of Mexican and Italian. They both attended Chaparral High School situated in Scottsdale, Arizona and graduated in 2002. Soon after they left school, they moved to Los Angeles, California.

The following year, they were signed to developmental contracts by WWE and they made their in-ring debut in September 2007, defeating Krissy Vaine and Nattie Neidhart. During the fight, they switched placed behind the referee when one was injured and this earned them their on-screen persona Twin Magic. As their popularity continued to grow, the twins also competed in mixed tag team matches with male wrestlers including Robert Anthony and Kofi Kingston, among others.
At the height of their career with WWE, Brie Bella triumphed over Eve Torres to win the Divas Championship on 11th April 2011 and on 23rd April, Nikki also defeated Beth Phoenix to win the same Championship. Nikki would later win the championship in 2015 and four years later, in 2019, the Bella twins announced their retirement from in-ring competitions.
