For a while, in the Western world, it was presumed that the era of boy bands was over. Then came One Direction. The group consisted of a couple of boys who had been eliminated from The X Factor. One of them was Niall Horan, an Irish singer, and songwriter who, at a young age, turned disappointment into one of the biggest musical feats of modern history.

The former One Direction singer was born on the 13th of September 1993 in Mullingar, Ireland. He is one of two children born to his parents, Maura Gallagher and Bobby Horan.
