The actress was born in Durban, South Africa on the 26th of May, 1963 as Musetta van der Merwe. She was born to unknown parents, but we know her mother was a ballet teacher. Musetta Vander got introduced into the world of performance art as early as the age of four when she made her first appearance in a stage performance for her school. Alongside a number of stage and dance performances for her school, she also trained as a ballet dancer and following the completion of high school, earned her badge to become a ballet teacher.
She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Psychology after which she began her career in show business, first as an anchor and host for a music show in South Africa. After a few months working on the show, Musetta Vander relocated to the United States where she continued her career in show business, appearing in a variety of music videos as a model.
Her ultimate switch to acting came in 1989 after she played Emma in the critically acclaimed play, Soweto’s Burning. Musetta Vander then began her career as an onscreen actress by getting cast in the show, Super Force, as Zander Tyler in 1991 for her debut appearance.
Since then, she has gone on to appear in various movies and TV shows, including major productions like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, where she played Sindel, Wild Wild West where she starred as Munitia, and a few more others.
