Molly Anne McGrath was born in San Francisco, California in the United States on June 6, 1989. She was raised by an Irish father named Michael and a Mexican-Spanish mother named Deborah in Burlingame, California. She has an elder brother whose name is Patrick, he was a former football player at Princeton University. During her early years, Molly attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory school and graduated in 2007. She further enrolled at Boston College where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Broadcast Journalism in 2011.

Professional Career

Molly McGrath’s career started while she was at Boston College. She participated in so many activities such as interviewing and reporting for the college’s website, she was also the captain of the cheerleaders for four years from 2009 to 2013. She also worked as an intern at NESN (New England Sports Network) and WHDH-TV; which positioned the amazing reporter for her first gig. For her outstanding performances during her college days, Molly was awarded the Athletic Director’s Award for Academic Excellence.

However, after her graduation from Boston College, Molly landed her first job which lasted for eight months at ESPN in 2011. She worked as a production assistant, producing highlights of sports and other play-by-play on ESPN. Later on, she joined Boston Celtics where she worked as a reporter as well as in-arena host for the club.
