The truth however remains that it is a business that demands complete dedication as well as persistent hard work. This reality has forced many aspiring actors to fall by the way.

There have however been some others who have persisted and are reaping the rewards of their hard work. One person who certainly falls into the latter category is Mishael Morgan. Morgan is a Hollywood actress who hails from Trinidad and Tobago and lives in Canada. She first fell in love with acting at the mere age of 10 and has been able to achieve her lofty childhood dreams.

Her First Brushes with Acting

Mishael Morgan came into this world on July 15, 1986. Her given name at birth is Marie-Charms Mishael Morgan and she was born in San Fernando, a city in Trinidad and Tobago. Mishael spent the first five years of her life in her native Trinidad and Tobago. Her family thereafter sought a better life and immigrated to North America. They initially settled in the state of New York, United States of America.

In Canada, Mishael’s family made their home in Toronto and the young girl continued her education at a local elementary school. She actively participated in all class activities. She also took part in a few plays including the production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. This experience made a 10-year old Mishael fall in love with acting and she decided to pursue it.

Her Near-death Experience and the Ressurection of Her Passion

Gaining a foothold in the acting business, however, turned out to be a herculean task and Mishael Michael began doubting herself. She, therefore, decided to get a college degree as a backup plan and enrolled at the University of Ottawa to study political science. Mishael completed her degree in 2008 and subsequently decided to go to law school and train as a lawyer. Fate, however, had another plan in stock for the young lady as she suffered a car accident whilst undergoing Christmas vacation in her motherland.

The accident left her bedridden for several days and Mishael found herself wondering whether there were any regrets in her life so far. She realized that she had failed to follow her passion for acting and decided to pursue it if given a second chance. That second chance eventually came in the form of a full recovery and the young girl immediately signed with an agent named David Ritchie. Mishael Morgan kick-started her career by auditioning for a role on the video for Trey Songz‘ hit 2007 single, Wonder Woman. She effortlessly landed the gig and ten months later, she got the recurring role of Tracy on the YTV sitcom, Family Biz.

Following the conclusion of Family Biz, Mishael Morgan spent the next three years appearing in several TV productions including Double Wedding, Covert Affairs, She’s The Mayor, Republic of Doyle, Beauty and the Beast, and Supernatural. She kept at her craft and eventually scored a recurring role on the long-running soap, The Young and the Restless.

Finding Fame on The Young and the Restless

Morgan joined the cast of Y & R in 2013 and spent six consecutive seasons on the show during which she portrayed the villainous and manipulating Hilary Curtis.
