Following her contract with WWE, she joined the reality television show Total Divas and has since put her pro wrestling career to a get-go. To learn more about her career progression, read on.
Mandy Rose’s Wrestling Career Progression
Mandy Rose has always been a fitness enthusiast since her young age. After graduating from Iona College where she achieved a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology, she entered her first amateur fitness competition with the WBFF (World Beauty Fitness & Fashion) in 2013 and finished in the first position. A year later, she entered the World Bodybuilding Fitness & Fashion Boston Show, competing against hundreds of women from different countries and emerging the winner.
Also in 2014, the wrestler was crowned the World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Bikini Champion. Her new-found exposure was accompanied by sponsorship opportunities, and photoshoots, but despite the great experience, Rose felt the need to be challenged and craved for more.
Meanwhile, growing up, Mandy Rose was never a fan of WWE and was in no way interested in becoming a wrestler. However, as she grew older, going through high school and college, she started following WWE more and along the line her interest in becoming a wrestler was kindled. She started following some female wrestlers like Trish Stratus and Lita. Discovering the story of the former, who like her, came from a fitness background, turned out to be the inspiration she needed to pursue an unexpected dream in wrestling.
Beginning her professional wrestling career, Miss Saccomanno participated in the sixth season of the competition WWE Tough Enough. She took up the ring name Mandy Rose in the course of the season finale and even though she did not emerge winner of the competition, she was signed to a 5-year contract with WWE. Sequel to this, she made her in-ring debut in Venice, Florida on January 30, 2016, for WWE’s NXT.
Soon after, she formed a trio team known as Absolution alongside Sonya Deville and Paige. The team went on to record their first win at Tribute to the Troops that took place on December 19th 2017, defeating Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Bayley. Then in January 2018, Rose competed in her first Royal Rumble match and unfortunately, she became the first competitor to be eliminated from the match.
Later on, Paige got injured in a match and went on a hiatus in April 2018. As a result, the trio team got dissolved following Paige’s retirement from the ring. Nonetheless, Mandy Rose and Sonya went on to form a duo team called Fire & Desire in early 2019. Aside from competing as a team, the WWE Diva has also competed in singles matches. In May 2019, she took part in the Money in the Bank ladder match, which she almost won with the help of her best friend, Sonya Deville, who was on the ringside. It was quite unfortunate that Bayley was able to fight off both of them, as she retrieved the briefcase on the ladder.
Still in the quest of nabbing her first career title, Mandy Rose along with Sonya came so close to capturing one in September 2019, when they landed Women’s Tag Team Championship spot at the Clash of Champions, after defeating Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss. Unfortunately, they couldn’t lay hold of the title as Fire & Desire suffered yet another defeat.
Nevertheless, Mandy Rose’s wrestling tactics has gained mainstream attention. In 2018, she held the No. 15th spot on Sports Illustrated list of top 30 female wrestlers. In like manner, in the next year, she was rated the 67th top female wrestler on the 2019 Pro Wrestling Illustrated Female 100 list.

She intermeddled in the match between Otis and Ziggler and in the process attacked Sonya Deville, whom she is suspecting to have been working against her newfound love with her on-air beau, Otis.
