Lynn Collins was born in Houston, Texas on the 16th of May, 1977 to Patricia Lynn Campbell and Phillip Dean Collins. Her childhood years were a little different from that of regular children as she spent a significant portion of it traveling to Singapore and Japan with her parents. As a result, Lynn Collins attended two schools for her basic education, Singapore American School and Klein High School, back home in Texas.
Having fallen in love with acting as a child after a Christmas pageant, she eventually headed over to Julliard School where she studied Drama and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, graduating in 1999.
In the same year she completed her higher education, she appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, debuting as an actor in the episode as Virginia Hayes.
She did not appear on screen again until 2001 when she appeared in an episode of The Education of Max Bickford. She also starred in her first feature-length project in the same year, in Earth Angels as Catarin.
Her return to onscreen projects was a more cementing period for Lynn Collins as an actress and she continued to star in various movies and TV shows over the course of the next several years, including projects like Down with Love, One for the Money, The Merchant of Venice, 50 First Dates, and many others.
In 2008, she got cast in one of her more popular roles as Dawn Green in True Blood and in the following year, she played Kayla Silverfox in the blockbuster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
