Lori Petty joined the world on the 14th of October, 1963 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born Lori Lee Petty to her parents as the first of three children and she grew up moving from place to place because of her father’s profession as a Pentecostal minister.
She completed her basic education at North High School in Sioux City, Iowa and afterward, learned the craft of graphic designing, and began a career in the profession in Omaha, Nebraska, working for several years.
After a couple of years working as a graphic designer, she headed over to New York to explore a desire to become an actress before moving to Los Angeles where she finally got her first credited role and began an acting career that has lasted over three decades.
She has worked on commercials, acted across movies and TV shows, and has also written and directed a number of projects such as The Poker House and Horrible Accident.
