How Old Is LiAngelo Ball?

The middle child of the Ball family, LiAngelo, was born on the 24th of November 1998 in Anaheim, California, to his parents, Lavar Ball and Tina Ball.

His father, LaVar Ball, is a former athlete who played college basketball and was also a college player. His mother, Tina, was also a college basketball player who played for Cal State Los Angeles.

The prominence of basketball in LiAngelo Ball’s family made a career in the sport inevitable, certainly not when he began to train and work out at the age of four.

By the time he was seven years old, he was playing flag football and basketball with his brothers, LaMelo and Lonzo Ball. As a teenager, he competed in the Amateur Athletic Union for Big Ballers VXT with them.

LiAngelo Ball’s high school basketball career began at the age of 15 when he joined the basketball team at Chino Hills High School. He impressed in his freshman year, drawing the attention of the Los Angeles Times, and he continued in the same vein.

His performances as a sophomore for Chino Hills High School soon began to draw the attention of colleges around the country, like improving his school’s ranking to the 22nd best high school team in the country. Before his sophomore year was over, he became the first player out of Chino Hills to commit a college team, UCLA Bruins, for the 2017 class.

Before LiAngelo Ball’s junior year in high school was over, he had helped his school become the number one basketball high school team in the country, and was drawing further attention from The New York Times.

During his high school years, LiAngelo, who plays as a shooting guard, regularly led his team’s scoring chart, remarkably helping his team on a 60 game winning streak between 2015 and 2017.

At the end of his high career, LiAngelo Ball enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles, having committed to the school. However, his career with UCLA got cut short after he was caught stealing sunglasses in China.

He was suspended from the school’s program and withdrew from the school. With LiAngelo’s sights set on joining his brother, Lonzo Ball, in the NBA, he joined the Lithuanian Basketball League team, BC Prienai, in 2017, officially becoming a professional player at the age of 19.

LiAngelo Ball spent just the 2017/2018 season with the Lithuanian team before he returned to the US. He went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft and joined the Junior Basketball Association team, Los Angeles Ballers, where he spent a season and won the JBA championship, as well as the Finals MVP and the All-Star Game MVP.

Although he missed out on getting drafted in the 2018 NBA draft, LiAngelo Ball continues to harbor hope of playing in America’s premier basketball league, and he might if he continues to improve on his impressive career stats.

In high school, where he played over 100 games, and 65 games in his junior and senior year, he scored a total of 2,918 points, making the fourth-highest scorer in CIF-SS history.

During LiAngelo Ball’s single-season at BC Prienai, where he began his professional career at the age of 19, he played 14 games, averaging 12.6 points per game, and 2.9 rebounds per game.

For the Los Angeles Ballers, he played four games during the regular season, averaging 51.8 points per game, 5.8 and 11.5 assists and rebounds per game, respectively. He averaged an additional 47.3 points per game in the playoffs, with 3 and 8.7 assists and rebounds per game, respectively.
