Laura Ingraham, who is a conservative Republican has been working in the broadcasting industry for over 20 years, having started her career with MSNBC in 1996. She has worked at different levels as a government official and has also spent time working as an attorney in a law firm. How did it all begin for Laura Ingraham?
Early Life And Beginnings of Laura Ingraham
Laura Ingraham’s life began on the 19th of June 1963 when she was born in Glastonbury, Connecticut to parents James Frederick Ingraham III and Anne Caroline Ingraham. Her father owned and operated the Coin-o-Matic Car Wash in Manchester after working with the U.S. Forest Service and then Pratt & Whitney while her mother first worked as a teacher and then as a waitress. Through her grandparents, Laura is of Irish, English, and Polish ancestry.
She was brought up alongside her siblings, James F. Ingraham IV, Brooks M. Ingraham, and her estranged brother Curtis U. Ingraham. Curtis claimed that their father was Nazi-sympathizing and his younger sister, Laura, has anger issues – which once cost her her job at an ice cream shop.
In 1981, she completed her basic education at Glastonbury High School before proceeding to Dartmouth College where she earned herself a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. A certified lawyer, Laura Ingraham earned her J.D from the University of Virginia School of Law.
She began to develop notoriety as a conservative from college and this helped her in securing significant roles after she graduated college in 1985. She worked for the Reagan administration as a speechwriter and also served as an editor for The Prospect, a magazine owned by the alumni of Princeton University. She had first worked as an editor for her college newspaper, The Dartmouth Review.
Following her acquisition of a law degree in 1991, she began a career in law by working as a law clerk for Ralph K. Winter Jr, a judge for the U.S Court of Appeals in the Second Circuit. She also worked as a clerk for Clarence Thomas, a conservative Supreme Court judge. The early and high level of exposure she had as a law graduate eventually culminated in a role as an attorney for the prestigious law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom.
Laura Ingraham never became a public personality through her career as a government official and a lawyer, but that became the case in 1996 when she became a host for MSNBC, for the show, Watch It!. She also worked as a political commentator for CBS.
Her time on both news organizations was short-lived but she did not quit broadcasting, choosing to become a radio host by starting her own show, The Laura Ingraham Show in April 2001. The show was a success, airing on over 306 stations across the country and on satellite radio through XM Satellite Radio.
Her success as a radio host eventually got her back on television, joining Fox News in 2008 for the show, Just In. She was equally successful on the show and has remained with Fox News ever since, starting out a new show in October 2017 titled The Ingraham Angle.

Her Intriguing Love Life
Surprisingly, as a conservative, who preaches traditional values of marital life between a man, woman, and children, Laura Ingraham is not a married woman although she has had a string of relationships.
She dated several notable personalities like TV host Keith Olbermann who later, claimed in a tweet that she once vandalized the home of her ex-boyfriend by stuffing the garden hose through the letter slot. The two have a very divergent political worldview.
She also dated Dinesh D’Souza after the pair met at Dartmouth. They took their relationship seriously and almost walked down the aisle but they ended their engagement and went their separate paths. That was not enough to stop Ingraham from defending him and describing him as one of the finest individuals she knew when he was on trial.
Sometime in 1999, she was linked to former New Jersey senator, Robert Torricelli. Although they both have something for politics, their relationship did not work out. Larry Summers is another man that Laura Ingraham dated, but this did not also take her to the altar.
Ingraham also got into a relationship with Washington, D.C. business owner, James Reyes, after they met on a blind date. They got serious and were engaged to get married. However, when she discovered she had breast cancer in 2005, that ended the relationship.

The controversial media woman has circumvented her lack of a stable relationship by adopting three children – a Guatemala girl in 2008 and two Russian boys in 2009 and 2011, making her a single parent of three children.
1. Maria Caroline Ingraham
Maria is the oldest child of Ingram and her only daughter. Ingraham adopted her when she was only 3 in 2008. However, the exact date of her birth is not known, neither are her parents. The young girl was adopted from a Guatemalan orphanage subsequent to which her name was changed to Maria Caroline Ingraham.
She is said to understand both English and Spanish even though she was adopted at a very young age. After the adoption of Maria, Ingraham revealed it was the greatest thing that had happened to her.
2. Michael Dmitri Ingraham
Barely a year after the adoption of Maria, Laura Ingram decided she wanted another child; a son this time around. And so, she decided to adopt Michael Dmitri Ingraham, a child from Moscow. At the time of adoption, Michael was only 13 months.
Although she did not give any reason why she adopted her second child or anything about the adoption process, it is believed her link to Russia where she had her education could have influenced her decision.
3. Nikolai Peter Ingraham
The last of her kids is her son, Nikolai Peter Ingraham. Surprisingly or maybe not so, she also adopted her last child from Russia in 2011 and she has not provided any information to that regard.
In spite of the fact that she is a public individual, Laura has made sure to keep all information about her kids away from the public domain. It is known that they all live with her, and are all schooling, but nothing more is revealed about them.
