The Canadian has featured in loads of movies and is respected for her craft. She is best known for the roles she played in films like the 2007 science fiction horror film Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and the 2009 film Leslie, My Name Is Evil, among many other TV series.

Kristen Hager Biography

Kristen Hager was born on the 2nd of January, 1984 in Red Lake, Ontario, Canada. Her father’s name has been revealed to be John Hager, however, there is no information disclosing the identity of her mother. Although a Canadian by nationality, reports show that she also has Swedish roots because her mother is supposedly from Sweden. The actress grew up in her town of birth, Red Lake which happens to be a gold mining town with residents deeply interested in the industry.

Hager attended the Red Lake District High School where she gained some exposure into acting by taking part in stage plays. When she graduated, she went on to receive her higher education at York University, a public research university located in the city of Toronto, Canada.

Growing up, Kristen Hager developed interest in acting quite early because of her mother. According to reports, the actress’ mother was a drama teacher who not only taught drama but also wrote plays that were acted on stage. The woman is said to have also designed stage costumes. Growing up with that kind of mother inspired the young girl to go into acting.

Movies and TV Shows

After graduating from University, Kristen Hager began to search for roles in movies and it was not long before she found work on screen. She made her film debut in 2005 when she was cast in Recipe for a Perfect Christmas, a TV movie in which she played the role of Morgan. With her confidence building, she landed another film role that same year, this time in Beach Girls, an American limited series that was aired on Lifetime. In 2006, she was cast in Runaway, a drama series in which she played Kylie for 9 episodes, further gaining some fans to herself.

2007 was a good year for Kristen Hager because she made a debut as an independent movie star and was launched to even more wide acclaim. First, she was cast in the miniseries St. Urbain’s Horseman, then she was cast in I’m Not There, a musical drama film in which she played Mona/Polly. She went on to feature in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, an American science fiction horror film which became very popular and grossed a massive $129 million at the box office. The movie established Kristen as an actress of repute and earned her an even more massive following.

Hager was not resting on her oars. In 2008, she featured alongside Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman in Wanted, an action thriller. The same year, she appeared in three TV series; The Dresden Files, Sophie and Of Murder and Memory. In 2009, Kristen Hager was cast in Leslie, My Name Is Evil, a Canadian film in which she played the leading role of Leslie Van Houten. The same year, she appeared in You Might as Well Live and four TV series; Wild Roses, The Listener, Valemont and Sorority Wars.

Hager did not feature in any independent movie in 2010 but had roles in two series; CSI: Miami and Ties That Bind. In 2011 she returned to the independent movie scene scoring roles in Textuality and Servitude. The same year, she also scored one of her biggest roles on TV when she was cast in Being Human, a supernatural horror comedy-drama TV series in which she played Nora Sergeant. The series further helped to cement her place as a high-ranking movie star.

Over the years, Kristen Hager has appeared in more TV series such as The Expanse in 2015, Masters of Sex also in 2015, Gotham in 2016, The Kennedys: After Camelot in 2017 and NCIS: New Orleans in 2018. She has also made appearances in independent movies such as A Little Bit Zombie in 2012, The Right Kind of Wrong in 2013, The Barber in 2014, Life in 2015 and Clara in 2018
