The Warrior’s shooting guard was born as Klay Alexander Thompson on February 8, 1990. He was raised in Los Angeles, California. Klay holds an American nationality and belongs to a mixed ethnicity. At 14, his family moved to Ladera Ranch where he got his early education at Santa Margarita Catholic High School where he got his certificate in 2008. As a junior, Klay played basketball for orange County third team as well as All-Are second team. He also participated in the Division III State Championship where he was named Division II State Player of the year, First Team Best, as well as, the Most Valuable Player and EA Sports Second-team All American.

After his graduation from Santa Margarita, Klay enrolled at Washington State University and continued his basketball career. Thompson graduated as Washington State University’s 3rd all-time leading scorer in 2011. After which he became Golden State Warriors 11th draft the same year. Since the inception of his professional career with the Warriors, Thompson has recorded tremendous improvement in each game. He ended his first season with 27 points and was named NBA All-Rookie First Team. The following season, Thompson reached 34 points. Alongside his teammate Stephen Curry he set an NBA record with 484 combined three-pointers in a season.

Following his outstanding performances, Warriors extended his contract by four years in 2014. The following year, Klay scored 52 points and also led the Warriors to defeat Lebron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers to win their first NBA Championship since 1975. Klay and Curry also set a new record with 525 three-pointers the same year. In 2016, he became the first player in NBA history to record seven three-pointers in consecutive playoffs. She alleged that she caught Thompson in bed with a groupie. Since their breakup, Klay has not been in any known relationship to date.
