The Childhood of Kevin McGarry
The Canadian budding actor was born on March 19, 1985, in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada. Although he doesn’t like sharing deep details about his family, we know at least that he comes from a close-knit family that resides in Canada and that his family is very supportive of his career.
He once posted a picture of his infancy days which had his fans surprised to know that he has always had his ‘sleepy’ eyes. Upon securing his College degree in Creative Writing, he attended Fanshawe College in London, where he learned more about the intricacies of Theatre Arts. In a bid to further increase his knowledge in theatre arts, he attended the Pro Actors Lab located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before moving to Vancouver where he finalized his studies at Lyric.
In 2006, McGarry made his acting debut on the TBS series Love Bites but his role was quite minimal to make any serious impact in his career or minds of fans. Determined to make it as an actor, he decided to try making a name for himself on the stage before venturing to the big screens. As a result of this decision, he spent several years performing in various theatres across Canada. After four years of absence from the big screens, Kevin McGarry made his return by starring in a horror movie titled Saw 3D: The Final Chapter in which he played the character of Charlie.
The movie which became an instant hit, grossing approximately $136 million in the box office, was all McGarry needed to make his long-sought flight to stardom. Later that year, he starred as Jonah on the comedy-drama Turn the Beat Around. Ever since then, he has starred in several movies and TV series such as A Song For Christmas, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love, Being Erica, Murdoch Mysteries, and most notably, Open Heart, where he played the character of Dr. Timothy Hud.
Kevin McGary added yet another feather to his cap when he joined the cast of the Canadian-American TV drama series When Calls the Heart from its Season 6 in February 2019. He portrays the role of Nathan Grant in the Hallmark series. Truth be told, he can’t be categorized as an A-list actor yet, but considering his age, he has a lot of time to earn that title.
