Kevin Burkhardt’s Early Life

The sportscaster was born on the 2nd of March, 1974 in Bloomfield New Jersey to unknown parents. So far, very little is known about his familial background but we know right from his childhood that he harbored the desire to become a commentator.

After completing his high school education, he headed over to William Paterson University where he earned a degree in Broadcasting, graduating in 1997.

After graduation, Kevin Burkhardt began his professional career at WGHT, a local radio station in Northern New Jersey and worked for eight years, covering a number of sporting events for the station, including the region’s high school football. Before he made the transition to television, he also worked for Jukebox Radio and covered events such as New Jersey Jackals minor league games.

After he left WGHT, he joined WFAN and became the station’s full-time New York Jets reporter after working for a period as a freelance reporter. While he was with WFAN, he made his debut appearances on TV as a guest for CN8 on the show, Out of Bounds, and he also reported for Time Warner Cable and WCBS 880.

His career was kicked up a notch in 2007 when he joined the Mets broadcast team for SNY. He went on to spend seven years at SNY, during which he reported for and appeared on shows like Mets Pre-Game Live, Mets Hot Stove and a couple of others.

He joined Fox Sports in 2013 and began to commentate for its NFL show, NFL on Fox. During his time with the media outlet, he worked on other shows like Major League Baseball on Fox and Fox College Hoops.

Aside from his role at Fox Sports, which he maintains till date, Kevin Burkhardt has also worked in sportscasting roles for Compass Media Networks as a play-by-play announcer for the Dallas Cowboys.

As mentioned earlier, Kevin Burkhardt has been in the industry for over two decades, and whilst he hasn’t always worked at the top level, he has spent a significant amount of time working for major media outlets such as Fox Sports which has high salary implications.

Kevin Burkhardt is estimated to be earning a six-figure yearly salary and has been able to accrue a net worth in a similar bracket.

Meet The Wife

Like most sportscasters, Kevin Burkhardt prefers to keep his personal life away from the media and he has done a good job of keeping a lot of details hidden, such as when he got married.

We do, however, know that he got married to Rachel Burkhardt a long time ago and the two have been able to raise two children together – Logan and Brook. With the exception of excerpts shared on his social media pages, Kevin and Rachel Burkhardt are rarely seen in public with a major exception being a charity event in July 2008 which both of them graced in support of the cause.

The family currently reside in Manhattan Beach in California. Before the move, they lived in Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey.
