Her Grandfather was a Renowned Dentist
Kathryn Boyd was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 12, 1987. She hails from an accomplished family of five. Her father, Britt Boyd, is a highly-rated family medicine physician while her mother, Deborah, is an experienced realtor. The actress/model also has two sisters namely Heighlen and Kaylin. Heighlen is also a budding actress and has featured in movies such as The Big Short, Sleepy Hollow, Quarry, Valor, and Into the Badlands.
Asides her immediate relatives, Boyd also has some illustrious extended relatives including her maternal grandfather, Donald Eugene Johnson. Johnson served several years in the US Air Force and subsequently trained to be a dentist at Emory University. He enjoyed a reputable career during which he received several accolades including a meritorious award by the Georgia Dental Association. Johnson passed away in May 2018 at the age of 88.
Kathryn Boyd is a Trained Photojournalist
Boyd grew up in Atlanta and completed her high school education at Lovett High School situated in Atlanta. She subsequently enrolled at the University of Georgia where she obtained a BA in Magazine Journalism in 2009. After her graduation, Kathryn attended Santa Reparata International School of Arts in Florence, Italy, and received a certificate in photojournalism. She thereafter joined the American entertainment industry where she started her career as an assistant to film directors.
Her first gig was in 2010 when she worked as a production assistant to Josh Brolin at Bonanza Productions. They both worked on the set of the television series titled Past Life. Subsequently, she assisted in the 2011 film titled Footloose. Alongside Ben Stiller, Kathryn worked on the set of the 2012 movie titled The Watch. She also worked behind the scene on the production of other movies including Old Boy, Dumb and Dumber To, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Inherent Vice, and Everest.

As an actress, Kathryn Boyd has scored minor roles in several movies and television series including Ride to Vegas, Rideshare, Bad Company, Loveless in a Brown Room, and The Inspectors, among others. While she was working as a production assistant, she also began her modeling career by signing up with a modeling agency, LA Models in 2014. As a model, Boyd has appeared on the cover of top magazines such as The Atlantan, Vogue, and Who What Where.
She is Much Younger than her Husband
Kathryn Boyd is a happily married woman and the wife of decorated American actor, Josh Brolin. Brolin has starred in many highly-acclaimed moves including Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Milk, American Gangster, and Deadpool 2. He has also received some accolades including an Oscar nomination for the best supporting actor. It is interesting to note that Brolin was born on the 12th of February 1968. She was Previously her Husband’s Assistant
Kathryn first met her husband in 2010 while working as his production assistant on the set of the TV series, Past Life. She impressed him with her work ethic and they went on to work together on several other projects. By 2013, Brolin filed for divorce from his wife, actress – Diane Lane, and the two commenced a romantic relationship in March that year. The couple embarked on romantic getaways to some European countries and if the timing of the whole thing raised some questions, they didn’t really care as they only commenced their relationship after Brolin filed for divorce.
Boyd and her boo remained dated for two years before the actor proposed in March 2015. Their best moment came when they both walked down the aisle on September 24, 2016.
Her Daughter is nicknamed Bean
Boyd and her husband have been enjoying a blissful married life and in May 2018, they announced they are expecting their first child – a daughter they nicknamed Bean. The couple subsequently chronicled the pregnancy journey on social media, sharing pictures as well as sweet messages to their unborn child. Their daughter finally arrived in November 2019 and true to form, the couple took to their Instagram page to welcome her to the world.
Boyd declared that her heart had been changed forever while her husband described the little tot as a flawless gem. The couple has since revealed that their daughter’s official name is Westlyn Reign Brolin but they continue to refer to her as Bean in their Instagram posts. Meanwhile, this is the first child for Boyd but her husband has two kids, son -Trevor and daughter – Eden, from his first marriage to actress, Alice Adair.

She has a Denim Line for Tall Women
Kathryn Boyd is quite tall and stands at 5 feet 10 inches (1.80 m). This fact was handy in her modeling career but it proved to be problematic when she was shopping for jeans. Most of the available trousers were designed for women of average size and Kathryn found that she couldn’t get her ideal size. This frustrated her to no end and she decided to do something about it. The Georgia native launched her own denim company, Midheaven Denim, in 2018. Midheaven Denim is a high-end line that caters to women who between 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 11 inches tall.
It is made from the finest Italian fabrics and is sewn in downtown Los Angeles. The brand is also an eco-conscious company. They rely on fabrics produced from the greenest and most sustainable denim mills in Italy. They also use eco-friendly packaging as well as shipping. Midheaven has been successful since launch and has been worn by celebrities such as Nicole Kidman and Cindy Crawford. Boyd is now planning to expand her products to other under-served markets such as pint-sized and plus-sized women.
