She was born Kathryn Elizabeth Rogers on the 7th of December 1976 to parents Richard Douglas Rogers and Penny Rogers. Her father was a 1958 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and due to the nature of his career, his family moved around a lot. Thus, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh grew up in different parts of the world, including Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro, the Philippines, Guinea-Bissau in Africa, and London. Sadly, her father, Richard Rogers, died of severe pancreatic cancer at the age of 81 in June 2018.

They launched the iced tea line through KARHL Holdings, a holding company named by combining the names of the couple Kathryn and Rush Hudson Limbaugh to get KARHL. However, the couple took a decision to stop producing the tea in 2018 as a result of the increasing cost of both manufacturing and shipping.
