Julie Banderas was born Julie E. Bidwell in Hartford, Connecticut in the United States on September 25, 1973. She was born to a Colombian mother named Fabiola R. and Howard D. Bidwell. She was raised in Connecticut along with her sister named Melissa; she has American nationality and belongs to Colombian ethnicity.
While growing up, Julie developed a keen interest in becoming a reporter and during her college days, she was reporting on her school’s website. She attended Emerson in Boston, Massachusetts where she got a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. She started her journalism career at WLVI-TV, Cambridge owned television station serving in Boston, Massachusetts.
