Jacque Gonzales Biography
Jacque Gonzales was born on the 13th of August in an unknown year in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was raised by her parents whose identities are unknown. Not much is known about Jacque, particularly regarding her childhood and education. She is believed to have been raised alongside a single sibling, a brother named Frank.
Jacque Gonzales’ extensive media career began in her hometown of Albuquerque and she has worked across the United States. She has worked in the radio and music industry, working both as a behind the scene staff and onscreen as a host.
Is She Still Married To Her Husband?
There are quite a number of long-term endeavors in Jacque Gonzales life – her time working in the music and radio industry and her stint as a host on QVC. Another is her relationship with her husband, Jim, whom she has been married to since 2004. The couple has two children – a biological child, Theresa, born in 2012 and an adopted child from Jimi’s previous relationship, a son named Jimi who was born in 1990.
The couple met via her work at QVC – her husband Jim was working as a financial consultant for the shopping network.
Why Did She Leave QVC?
After spending 15 years on the shopping channel, Jacque Gonzales announced on the 22nd of May 2017 that she was leaving the channel. It was a shock to several fans of the show who had come to fall in love with her and had gotten used to seeing her on the channel.
She is believed to have left the channel in order to launch her own shopping channel, talkshop.live.
Following graduation from college where she is believed to have studied a media-related course, Jacque Gonzales began appearing on local radio stations in Albuquerque. She spent a few years working in the radio scene for different radio stations across America. She worked in Los Angeles for radio stations like Westwood One, KPWR, and KOST. She also spent time in Honolulu, Dallas, Oxnard, Kansas where she worked in different capacities as a program director, music director, and on-air personality. She spent a total of 18 years in the radio industry.
Before she eventually moved to QVC, she got a big break when she joined Universal Music Group in New York. She worked for the company as a promotions manager, where she focused on record promotions and marketing, coordination of artist appearances and general assistance to artists.
Through her experience with Universal Music Group and her television experience, which she had gained while she worked in Honolulu, Jacque Gonzales was well equipped for a position as a host on QVC. She joined the shopping channel in 2002 and worked primarily as a host of one of the shopping shows.
While she was at QVC, her work included the presentation of product information and demonstration, interviewing celebrities, guests and vendors. She also wrote on the channel’s blog, through which she shared her thoughts and life with followers of her show and the channel. It was through this medium that she announced in 2016, her cancer scare, having found a growing mass in her right breast.
