Isaiah Crowell is an American football running back currently associated with the New York Jets of the National Football League. The football star began his pro-career in 2014 when he signed up with the Cleveland Browns as a free undrafted agent. Isaiah Hassan Crowell was born on the 8th day of January 1993; he was born to black American parents Debbie Crowell and her husband Andrew. He grew up in Columbus, Georgia where he attended George Washington Carver High School. While in high school, Isaiah was a standout athlete who played football and basketball as well as participated in track and field events. He posted a high school career record of 61 touchdowns and 4872 rushing yards and also won the 100m dash at the MCSD Meet in 2009. At the end of his high school career, Crowell was rated as the best running back in his set.

After his graduation from high school, the star enrolled at the University of Georgia for his collegiate football career. In his freshman season, Crowell recorded his breakout season with the Bulldogs; thus crowing his performance by receiving the Freshman of the Year Award. He had five touchdowns and 850 rushing yards with 185 carries that season. Prior to the inception of his sophomore year, Isaiah Crowell was shown the way out of the Georgia football team for violating one of the school’s policy. In addition to his testing positive to drugs, Isaiah was equally arrested for being in possession of a concealed firearm.

The running back went on to attend Alabama State University where he completed the remaining two seasons of his college eligibility. In his first season, Isaiah helped the team to maintain a 7 – 4 record while leading in rushing with 843 rushing yards. The following year, he rushed for 1,121 yards with 15 touchdowns. At the end of the season, the player declared of the 2014 NFL draft.

Coming from a blazing hot college career, Isaiah Crowell was projected as one of the top prospects in the NFL draft of 2014; nevertheless, he didn’t make the list of any team. A few months later, the running back signed up with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent. He made his first professional stint for the Browns in their season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on 7th September 2014. Although the Browns lost the game 30 – 27, Isaiah scored two touchdowns and ran for 32 yards with five carries. He finished his rookie year with eight touchdowns and 607 rushing yards.

The footballer completed three more seasons with the Browns, in 2016; he recorded four touchdowns and 706 rushing yards. The following year, he topped the scores, having seven touchdowns while rushing for 952 yards. In his final season with the Browns, Isaiah Crowell helped the Browns to maintain a 0 – 16 season record which is the second in the league’s history. He left the team after the 2017 season and signed up with the New York Jets. He penned down a three-year contract worth $12 million with the Jets in March 2018.

During the 2018 season, Isaiah won the AFC Offensive Player of the Week Award following his outstanding performance in their week 5 game against the Denver Broncos. During the game, the running back was able to set up a new franchise record of 219 rushing yards. In December 2018, Isaiah Crowell had a toe injury which led him to miss out from participating in a few games.
