Is Hayley Law Married, What Is Her Ethnicity and Which Are Her Best Works?

Hayley Law is a talented Hollywood actress, and singer who rose to prominence as a result of her role on the CW hit TV series Riverdale in which she starred alongside KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes, and Lili Reinhart. She has also appeared on other movies and TV series such as The Arrangements, Sitman, and Altered Carbon, to name a few.

As a singer, she has released several songs in the past, such as Get Thru, Nice and Slow, and On Me, among others. She can’t be categorized as a top actress yet, but judging by her regular appearance in movies and TV shows, it’s only a matter of time.

Hayley Law’s Background Details and Early Start as a Waitress

Hayley Law was born on November 18, 1992, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is of Canadian nationality and has her ethnicity recorded as Afro-Canadian. Being the private person she is, there is no information about her parents except the fact that they raised her alongside her sister Brittany Law (who is a full-stack developer) in the farming settlement of Surrey. As a young child, she was known to be very talented at singing as she was one to continually disturb the peace of her household with her sweet vocals.

While in 9th grade, she auditioned to be the lead singer at her school’s end of the year show but ended up not being picked. Choosing not to be depressed by this, she decided to take a step forward in self-enhancement by learning how to play the piano.

In a bid to pursue her childhood dreams of being a singer, she left her little town of Surrey and moved to the big city of Vancouver at the age of 18, right after graduating from high school.

In Vancouver, she found life more challenging than she hoped, and as a result of that, she had to settle for a job as a waitress. She held this job for several years until a friend of hers informed her of a commercial that offered the chance of earning at least $500 per day. Deciding to give it a try, she hired an agent who helped score her some roles in several commercials, the most popular being a McDonald’s commercial.

Building a Thriving Filmography

Due to the success of the McDonald’s commercial, she decided to audition for a role as a receptionist on the TV series Arrow, but it didn’t turn out so well. In her manner of responding positively to shortcomings, she decided to audition for the role of Cheryl Blossom in what would turn out to be the hit CW series Riverdale. Of course, she didn’t get that role but was instead offered a chance to play the character of Valerie Brown, a member of the music band Pussycats. Her role in Riverdale served as a breakthrough, not only in her career as an actress but as a singer.

Ever since her role on Riverdale, she has gone on to star in several other TV series, most notably: Altered Carbon, where she played the role of Lizzie Elliot and The New Romantic – the character of Nikki. According to reports, she is expected to feature in a movie titled Spontaneous, alongside 13 Reasons Why star actress, Katherine Langford.

Other projects include Stickman, Echo Boomers, and Mark, Mary & Some Other People. She also appeared in the short film, The Line, as Gigi and in the music video for Shoes by Mina Tobias.

Since joining the industry in 2017, the actress appeared in more than ten movies and TV shows. And while she continues to build up her appearances, Hayley Law is also finding her feet as a singer. Her singing prowess first came to light in an EP, Hayleau, released on SoundCloud in 2016. She drew further attention to it in Riverdale, where she has performed six songs across six episodes. Will she become the next big thing on the screen? It might be too early to say, but you can expect to see her in a lot more musicals in the near future.

Riverdale Remains Her Best Work

Because she is a relatively new name in the industry, Hayley Law does not yet have a vast body of work to examine and determine her best project. However, so far, her role as Valerie Brown on the CW show, Riverdale, remains her most popular to date. Not only is it big, but it has given observers a deeper look at her singing and acting prowess, and fans and critics have lauded her performances.

Other impressive works include her recurring role as Lizzie Elliot in Altered Carbon and, if industry rumours are anything to go by, her performance in the forthcoming film, Spontaneous. Her role, Nikki Morrison, in the romantic comedy, The New Romantic, is also one of her notable roles thus far. However, the film itself has drawn widespread criticism for the possible glorification of the sugar baby lifestyle.

Hayley Law Might Be Single

Hayley Law isn’t getting any younger, and it’s only normal for one to expect her to be in a serious and committed relationship that would probably lead to marriage in the nearest future, but the reverse is the case. As a matter of fact, this fast-rising Hollywood actress is currently single and not in any rush to be in a relationship.

However, based on an anecdote shared in an interview with Stylecaster in 2019, we know that has been in at least one relationship. We don’t know yet why it ended, but based on the story, he was not a fan of her hair.
