Gloria Borger was born on the 22nd day of the month of September in the year 1952. The media personality was born and raised in New Rochelle, a city in Westchester County, New York, USA. Even though she is now widely known simply as Gloria Borger, it is noteworthy that her full birth name is actually Gloria Anne Borger.

She was born to a father identified as Richard Borger. According to sources, her father happened to be the owner of an electrical-appliances distribution company called Borger’s. Not much is known about her mother. Gloria has a sister called Paula Borger with whom she grew up in New Rochelle.

Growing up, the media personality attended the New Rochelle High School, a public secondary school in New Rochelle from where she graduated in 1970. Following her high school graduation, she went on to attend the Colgate University, a private liberal arts college in Hamilton, New York from where she graduated in 1974. She has since gone on to make a great career in journalism.

Gloria Borger is a happily married woman. The media personality is married to a man identified as Lance Morgan. The couple married on September 8, 1974, and have been together ever since.

Lance Morgan happens to be a successful public relations executive. The man has worked with powerful figures in American politics and now serves as a chief communications strategists at Powell Tate, a global public relations and communications establishment.

Gloria and her husband have a son together called Evan Morgan who was born in 1985. Evan is now married to Mary Anne Huntsman, the daughter of Jon Huntsman Jr., an American politician. The couple got married on October 17, 2015.

Evan Morgan is now a partner at Revolution, a Washington-based venture-capital firm.

CNN and Career Achievements

Gloria Borger kick-started her career in the ’70s. According to sources, she landed her first job at Washington Star, a defunct daily afternoon newspaper. Her work there which included covering politics gave her the needed experience to forge ahead in her career. While at Washington Star, Gloria co-authored a daily serial that was later turned into a book titled ‘Federal Triangle’.

Gloria was very good at her job and was admired for it. Her dedication to journalism and adherence to ethics earned her the Watson Traveling Fellowship award to study the British press.

She would later move to Newsweek, a popular American weekly news magazine where she worked as the chief congressional correspondent. In March 1979, while still with Newsweek, she covered the ‘Three Mile Island accident’, a very devastating Nuclear accident in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

In 2002, she joined CNBC and rose to become a co-anchor of Capital Report, one of the station’s popular programs. She remained at CNBC till 2004 before she quit the position and joined CBS News where she worked as a national political correspondent. She also contributed to some of CBS’ top programs including Face the Nation and 60 Minutes II. She also went on assignment to cover CBS’ special events.

Having become a popular face on TV as a journalist, contributor, and anchor, Gloria Borger joined CNN in 2007. She rose to become one of its chief political analysts and has also become one of the most recognized faces on CNN as she frequently joins Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room.
