He is a part of an interior design empire that began all the way in 1932 by his grandfather, Maurice Villency and he joined the lineage on the 10th of June, 1975 when he was born in New York City to parents Rowann and Robert Villency.

Villency’s childhood background remains unknown but his academic journey ended at the University of Wisconsin, which he graduated from in 1996. Having been born to parents who were well involved in creative arts, especially his mother, Rowann who was involved in mixed media, Eric Villency took an interest in the world of art and started his exploration in the fashion industry.

He began his professional life as a model, going as far as launching his own clothing line, which he named The Restoration of the Monarchy. As he progressed, Eric Villency drew closer to the Interior Design profession that has defined his ancestry and began his career in 1998 when he was appointed the CEO of the family company, Villency Design Group. Since he assumed the position, Eric Villency has grown from height to height, getting numerous recognitions for his work, starting with getting named The Wizard of Wellness by Inc Magazine who described him as one of the most influential designers to watch out for.

Other than the plenty awards and recognition, he has designed several projects including the Delta Air lined Miami Crown Lounge, The Rudy Guiliani Urgent Care Unit at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Bryant Park Hotel and several others. He is also known notably for designing the Pelonton indoor bike, SoulCycle.

His expertise and success have also seen him serve as a professor at the Savannah College of Art & Design whilst making several appearances on TV, sharing his knowledge on various design shows like iDesign and on the channel, HGTV.

His grandfather started the company and it has continued to exist and grow into greater heights since Eric took over as CEO in 1998. His work as an Interior Designer and CEO of Villency Design Group, along with other personal investments has earned him an estimated net worth of $100 million.

Outside of his income as a designer, which is arguably his biggest source of income, Eric Villency also enjoys a decent income from appearances on various TV shows like The Today Show, The Tyra Banks Show, and contributions to magazines like Men’s Health and The Huffington Post.

As mentioned earlier, outside of the boundaries of Interior Design, Eric Villency did not enjoy national popularity until his marriage to Kimberly Guilfoyle. His marriage to the Fox News host of The Five brought him national recognition, particularly among fans of the host.

Their marriage on the 27th of May, 2006 was the culmination of a long relationship between the designer and the former District attorney. The wedding was held in a private ceremony in front of friends and family in Barbados, and for a long time, they looked like they were destined for a long relationship with each other.

In the same year of marriage, on the 4th of October, 2006, Eric Villency and Kimberly Guilfoyle gave birth to their son, Ronan Anthony. However, three years after the birth to their child, Eric and Kimberly went their separate ways, completing their official divorce in 2009.

Since Kimberly, Eric Villency has moved on to find love in the arms of Caroline Fare, a Swedish designer who was married to from December 2013 to 2017. The couple never shared any children. At the moment, after two failed marriages, it is believed that Eric Villency is a single man and isn’t in a relationship, at least publicly.
