Pamela Brown’s Biography

On the 29th of November, 1983, Pamela Brown was born to her parents, John Y. Brown Jr. and Phyllis George in Lexington, Kentucky. She was raised in Lexington where she attended Henry Clay High School. Growing up, Pamela was raised in an affluent family of a successful businesswoman and former Miss America winner and a father who was a former Governor of Kentucky.

The happy home in which she was raised in ended at the age of 13 when her parents got divorced but despite the challenge, Pamela Brown forged on and attended the University of North Carolina where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Right from the University, Pamela Brown began to show what she was made of when she became a reporter for the university’s publication, Carolina Week.

Following the completion of her academics, she began her career in Washington, at WJLA-TV, an affiliate station for ABC. At WJLA-TV, Pamela Brown worked for six years, between 2006 and 2012 as a reporter for the station and a presenter, before her excellence and accomplishments drew the attention of one of the nation’s biggest news networks, CNN.

She resumed her position for CNN, starting out as a Justice Correspondent for the network and also worked as an anchor, working alongside other notable names like Kate Bouldan, Chris Cuomo and Michael Pereira on the show, New Day.

As a correspondent, her reports have featured on several other CNN shows like CNN Newsroom, At This Hour, The Situation Room, The Lead with Jake Tapper and a couple of others.

As she gained her footing working for the channel, through her coverage of stories such as the San Bernardino attacks, Cleveland kidnappings, Boston Marathon Bombings and the legalization of same-sex marriage, Pamela Brown soon got promoted to become the network’s Senior White House Correspondent, where she has been providing news coverage for the network from the White House.

Husband and Family

Pamela Brown has been married to her husband, Adam Wright since 2017. We cannot determine how exactly long they dated before they headed on to the altar but the ceremony, which was held at Cave Hill, Lexington in Pamela’s childhood home on the 5th of June 2017 had in attendance, friends, and family of the couple.

After the wedding, the couple headed over to Japan for their honeymoon and have been living a blissful marital life ever since. Their marriage was blessed with a child, a son named Ben Wright in June 2018.

Pamela Brown’s husband, Adam Wright is a member of the United States Men’s Water Polo team, having served as a college water polo head coach and played the sport himself as a student.
