How Chanel West Coast’s Music Career Began
Born as Chelsea Chanel Dudley, Coast is a Califonia native. She celebrates her birthday every September 1; she was born in the beautiful city of Los Angeles, California in 1998. Chanel spent her early years, shuffling between New York City and North Hollywood in a bid to spend time with her parents who lived separately.
While living with her father who was a well-known DJ, Chanel began to pick up interest in music as she often accompanies her father to clubs, where he played as a Disk jockey. Willing to put her newly-found passion to work, young Chanel West Coast took singing and dancing lessons, but her rapping skills were inspired by her love for How Do U Want It – Tupac Shakur‘s third single from his album titled All Eyes On Me. The American artist is of English and Jewish descent.
Chanel’s career began in 2009, a year after she was introduced to reality TV star, Rob Dyrdek. The television personality picked interest in her and offered her a job as a receptionist during his reality series titled Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. The same year, she was offered a role as Sheila in a single episode of MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger. While doing that, she joined the main cast of the comedy clip show, Ridiculousness.
Just as her acting career was kicking off, Chanel decided to begin her singing career with songs like Melting Like Ice Cream, Tramp, and PHAMOUS, being some of her early music projects with artists like Tiffanie Anderson, Somaya Reece, and Midi Mafia. In 2011, she signed up with Polow Da Don’s record label Zone 4 but left shortly afterward to focus more on releasing songs for free download online. She later got signed to Lil Wayne‘s label Young Money Entertainment, where she released her mixtape Now You Know, featuring artists like Ty Dolla $ign, Snoop Dogg, Robin Thicke, French Montana, and Honey Cocaine.
In 2014, Chanel West Coast released her first, second, and third singles titled Blueberry Chills, New Feeling, and Miles and Miles, respectively. Her latest song as of 2018 is Nobody, which came after her 2015 song Bass In The Trunk that was featured on Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. Chanel’s latest TV appearance was in the popular American game show, Fear Factor.
How Much Has She Earned So Far?
In addition to the fame and life-fulfilling career as an artist and TV host, the beautiful entertainer with astonishing rapping skills has a nice financial balance. With a salary that is yet unknown, Chanel is believed to have about $6 million as net worth. This is no doubt bound to increase as she continues to soar higher in her music and acting career.
Chanel also puts her wealth to good use; she procured a 2,600 sq.ft mansion worth $1.65 million in the Hollywood Hills in November 2019. She also lives a lavish lifestyle, all thanks to her massive net worth. The multitalented star also has a fleet of exotic cars, including a Bugatti Veyron and many others.
Is Chanel West Coast in a Relationship?
Unlike many celebrities in the entertainment world, the Califonia native Chanel West Coast has maintained a private lifestyle since the beginning of her career, and that is why there is little information about her. However, she was reportedly dating Liam Horne, a musical artist like herself, in 2014.
She has also been spotted with Chris Pfaff, but it seems she dated the Scottish singer Liam Horne for a longer time. The two met in Los Angeles, California, and Liam, who is younger than Chanel West Coast by 7 years, fell in love with her. They even composed and performed songs together, but as of 2017, they went their separate ways, and the reason for their breakup is not yet known. Before parting ways, the couple was known for their public display of affection on social media.
After her first relationship came to an end, the longtime Ridiculousness star started yet another relationship in 2017 with Atlanta rapper Solo Lucci. The two seemed to have a thing working, but it only lasted from July to October 2017. In a Tweet she has since deleted, Chanel said although she is an independent woman, she is already tired of being held down by everyone and their mother. She revealed she wants someone successful and powerful to marry her. For now, such a man is still yet to come, and so she is still not married. There is no indication she is dating anyone at the moment.

Was Chanel West Coast Born A Boy?
It was a very controversial issue when in 2015, Chanel Coast was erroneously involved in a transgender rumor. According to claims that went viral on various social media platforms, Chanel had a sex swap surgery from boy to girl. The meme also claimed that Lee Norris who played Stuart Minkus in 1993/1994 ABC aired sitcom Boy Meets World was Chanel when she was a boy before she had a sex swap surgery.
Although the meme was initially intended as a pun, most of Chanel’s fans across the world believed it. In an interview that was posted on YouTube, Chanel cleared the air on the matter, reassuring her fans that she was never born a boy and that she was never in the Boy Meets World. It was easy for the rumor to spread and for people to believe it and share it on social media because of the superficial facial resemblance of the two individuals.
More so, although Norris continues to act, he has not had the best of careers as many had expected when he was much younger. Hence, many have not kept up with him, making it not hard to assume he has left the scene entirely or even change his gender as the case may be. With all said, Norris, who is the subject of the rumor based on the said role in Boy Meets World is still a boy, man as the case is. He has never changed his gender neither has Chanel West.
