Swiss professional wrestler, Claudio Castagnoli, who is better known as Cesaro, is one of its new stars. He began wrestling very early in life and has worked his way up to the biggest promotion company, WWE and Cesaro’s height, intimidating body stats and skillset take credit for the numerous achievements he has under his belt.

How Old is Cesaro?

Claudio Castagnoli, aka Cesaro, was born on the 27th of December 1980. He was born in Lucerne, Switzerland, where he quickly developed a passion for sports.

Cesaro grew up competing and participating in various sports from his childhood to his youth. He played tennis, basketball, and football before he found his calling in professional wrestling.

While he no longer competes in those sports, Cesaro remains an ardent follower of them.

His Age When He Began Professional Wrestling

Switzerland is renowned for quite a few things, but wrestling is not one of them. Still, Cesaro began his career in the sport at the age of 20, when he started training under Swiss wrestler, SigMasta Rappo.

He started his career fighting under Westside Xtreme Wrestling, a promotion company based in Germany. During his developmental years, he received further training from other wrestling personalities like Dave Taylor, Mike Quackenbush, Chris Hero, and Skayde.

Four years after he began his career in pro-wrestling, Cesaro applied for the US green card lottery, won, and secured a permanent residency in the United States.

At What Age Did Cesaro Join The WWE?

After relocating to the US at the age of 23, Cesaro began to fight under the promotion company, Chikara. While he was there, he joined the tag team, Kings of Wrestling, which consisted of himself, Arik Cannon, and Chris Hero.

Under Chikara, he competed in various competitions, such as the Tag World Grand Prix, King of Trios, Chikara Campeones de Parejas.

Aside from Chikara, he also fought under Combat Zone Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Evolve Wrestling, and a few others. Cesaro was signed to WWE in September 2011 at the age of 31.

Before he joined the main roster of WWE, Cesaro fought in its developmental territory, such as Florida Championship Wrestling. He fought there for a year before he joined the main roster in 2012 in an episode of Smackdown.

A few months after joining the main roster, Cesaro won his first title in WWE, the United States Championship, in a match against Santino Marella.

Over the years, he fought in different sub-brands of the WWE, including Raw and WrestleMania. He has also won many titles, such as WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship, WWE Raw Tag Team Championship – which he has won five times, and the Slammy Award.

Other titles in Cesaro’s collection include Most Underrated Wrestler and Tag Team of the Year. He has been named in the Top 500 wrestlers in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. He ranked number 13 on the list.

Partnership with Sheamus

Over the course of his career, Cesaro has earned a reputation as a tag team specialist. He has tag-teamed with several wrestlers, Chris Hero, Daniel Bryan, Tyson Kidd, and Jack Swagger.

However, his most notable tag team was with Sheamus. Cesaro and Sheamus began their partnership, which was named The Bar, at the age of 36 in 2016.

Their partnership lasted between 2016 and 2019, during which they won four WWE Tag Team Championships.

How Are His Teeth Now?

During a fight in 2017 at WWE No Mercy, he suffered a severe injury to his teeth. He had his front teeth knocked out after Dean Ambrose launched him face-first into the ring post.

As a result, Cesaro got a maxillofacial surgery and was forced to get braces, a comical look for a man that was 37 years of age.

Two years after getting his braces, the Swiss wrestler’s teeth are finally back to full health, and he has had his braces removed.

How Tall Is Cesaro?

Cesaro is widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers of his generation and while he undoubtedly has the skills, part of it is down to his body figure.

He has a height of 6 feet 5 inches and weighs 232 pounds (105 kg). He is known for his exceptional strength, which has been showcased through CrossFit routines and Olympic weightlifting.

Aside from his height and weight, other body facts about Cesaro include a chest size of 49 inches, a waist size of 34 inches, and a bicep size of 18 inches.
