Barrett Foa’s Early Life & How He Became An Actor

Certainly, some might not be familiar with Barrett, especially a minority of television fans who are not keen on the police procedural genre. For those people, they might not know that the actor, who began his life as a professional actor at the turn of the millennium in 2001, was born on the 18th of September, 1977. Barrett Foa is a native of Manhattan, in New York City. He is one of the two children of Linda Rimanich and Conrad Foa. He has a brother whose name is given as Justin.

Barrett Foa has so far been an excellent television actor, and that display of excellence can be traced back to his time as a child. At the age of three, the Manhattan-born actor was able to put together a puzzle in record time. This feat earned him a place in the prestigious Dalton School, where he spent his middle and high school years.

During his time at Dalton, Foa frequently attended a summer program at Interlochen Arts Camp, where he fell in love and began the pursuit of a career in theatre. Following high school graduation, Barrett Foa proceeded to the University of Michigan, where he continued his interest in theatre as a profession by studying theatrical studies. He graduated from the program with a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in musical theatre performance.

His training also included time at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) in London, where he studied Shakespeare and acting. When it comes to becoming an actor, especially a good one, the academic experience is never enough, and Barrett Foa, before he was spewed out of school as one of the thousands of fresh graduates, began taking internships at Johnson-Liff Casting. While there, Foa got a real-life understanding of the casting process, and what is expected of an actor.

Early on in his career, Barrett Foa spent several years, working in the theatre for various productions before he made his debut onscreen as Dylan in an episode of Six Degrees.
