Details Of Ashton And Mila’s Love Life Before Their Marriage
Although they now have a wonderful love life, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have had their fair share of bitter relationships. Mila Kunis started acting as a child and grew up in the public eye. Around 2002 she began to secretly date actor Macaulay Culkin.
It was also around this time that Mila’s career began to take off while Culkin placed a self-imposed break on his acting career. They kept details about their relationship private and were tight-lipped about everything. On a rare occasion where she spoke about their relationship, she revealed that they practically grew up together and that while they had their ups and downs, they worked through them and he was a steady rock in her life.
They dated until 2011 when they finally went their separate ways and Mila later admitted that it was a horrible breakup. In retrospect, she was upfront enough to admit that she didn’t handle things well and was very horrible to him.
Ashton Kutcher, on the other hand, was romantically linked with several women in the past. Some of them include Ashley Ellerin, January Jones, Brittany Murphy, and Demi Moore, who he ended up marrying. Kutcher met Moore in 2003 at a play in New York City. They hit it off immediately and soon began to date despite the 16 years age difference between them with Moore being the oldest. After being together for two years, they finally tied the knot on the 24th of September 2005. His marriage to Moore was her third and his first.
Six years later, Moore announced her intention to end the marriage amidst rumors of Kutcher’s unfaithfulness to his wife. Before that, it was rumored that the couple was trying to have a baby, and thankfully, Moore got pregnant with a baby girl but miscarried six months after. As a result of the loss, for which she blamed herself, she resorted to drinking and not long after, it became untenable.
With time, her drinking habit got worse and in addition to that, she began abusing Vicodin. All these are believed to have put a back on the marriage before Moore’s eventual discovery of her husband’s reported unfaithfulness finally brought their union crumbling. After being separated for more than a year, Kutcher filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized with neither party receiving spousal support.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ Interesting Love Story
After experiencing heartbreaks in their previous relationships, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were brought back together by fate. This interesting duo first met on the set of That ’70s Show in 1998 when Mila was 14 and Kutcher 18. Mila had featured in some small roles before then and Kutcher already built up an impressive resume as a model especially with Calvin Klein.
It has become a legendary Hollywood story how Mila lied about her age to get the part as the producers wouldn’t hire anyone below 18 so Mila simply said she was turning 18 without saying when. After they found out about her real age, they were already too in love with her acting skill that they just could not cut her loose.
The now real-life couple featured as each other’s love interest on the show and Mila’s character, Jackie Burkhart, had to share a scripted kiss with Michael Kelso (Kutcher) which ended up being Mila’s first kiss in real life. Mila has admitted that she had the hots for him while on the show while Kutcher saw her as a kid and treated her like a younger sister, sometimes helping her with her chemistry homework.
Around 2005, Kutcher alongside actor Topher Grace chose not to renew their contract for the 8th season of That ’70s Show, wishing to pursue other projects. After his departure from the show and all through their years apart, Kutcher and Mila continued to keep in touch and would randomly check on each other.
The long time friends reconnected at the 69th Golden Globe Awards in January 2012 and Kutcher invited her to his housewarming party with the intent of introducing her to his friend but fate had other plans. At the party, they got into conversations that drew them closer to each other to the point that they ended up sharing a kiss. Despite the undeniable chemistry they shared, the duo believed the kiss was a mistake and that they both needed to remain single. However, because the heart wants what the heart wants, they started hanging out frequently.
The cute couple has admitted that they initially wanted a ‘no strings attached’ relationship but things changed after being together for 3 months. By April 2012, they had moved in together and at this point, Kutcher was still separated from Demi Moore. After Kutcher’s divorce became official in November 2013, Mila was spotted with an engagement ring in February 2014. Following a 17-month long engagement, they finally got married on the 4th of July 2015 in The Secret Garden at Parrish Ranch in Oak Glen, San Bernardino County, California.
How Many Kids Do They Have?
Even before the couple tied the knot, their relationship was blessed with a daughter named Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher. Mila announced that they had a baby on the way on The Ellen Show on May 9, 2014, and on the 30th of September 2014, Wyatt arrived. She was born at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.
About a year and four months after their wedding, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis gave birth to their second child, a son named Dimitri Portwood Kutcher. He was delivered on the 30th of November 2016 at 1:21 a.m, weighing 8 lbs., 15 oz. Speaking during an appearance on the talk show Conan in November 2016, The Ranch actor revealed that he had considered giving his son the name Hawkeye after his alma mater’s (the University of Iowa) mascot but his wife suggested they looked into other alternatives.
Following the birth of their son, the duo sent out a message to the public, explaining that even though they are both public figures, they would like to give their children room to choose by themselves whether or not they want to have a life in the public eye.
